Guest guest
okay!!! I went and bought guar gum at my local health food store. (4.99 for 8 ounces) and thought, this is a cheap enough experiment. Lets try Warren's chocolate pudding with the stuff I have on hand at home. So home we trotted (the munchkins and I) and I mixed 4 tbls of Nestle's Quick chocolate milk powder ( 120 calories) to one and 1/3 cups of hot water and one tablespoon of guar gum. We also added about 3 drops of lorann's chocolate oil. OH MY GOODNESS!!!! I really didn't believe you guys when you talked about the guar gum making pudding! I didn't add the guar correctly and have " tapioca " floaties, but it is GOOD! NO WAY! My kids tried it and fussed because it was warm and they wanted it sweeter, so it sits in the fridge right now, cooling off and " getting sweeter " .(I told them it would get sweeter, power of suggestion!!) I can imagine with those lorann oils, chocolate coconut (here in Hawaii they call coconut flavor Haupia) or creme de menthe!! I can't tell you how excited I am to have found this list and this recipe. I need the no calorie chocolate powder and I can't find cellulose either!! (went to 3 " granola " stores today) I can imagine this guar mixed with vegetable stock, and a vegetable " stew " made... I am so thankful to have found this, you have NO idea! Thank you thank you thank you! Christy
