Guest guest Posted June 19, 2002 Report Share Posted June 19, 2002 Hi , Just an FYI; I'm _not_ new to the list at all (which does not reflect my level of struggle with CRON; you can see my history in the archives if interested). Also I've been using Dr. Walford's software for some time now and don't miss the point of the " ON " part at all. In fact, it's the most intriguing to me. My limitations currently include severe allergies to many foods, so what others list for a meal, for example, I often cannot eat. How I would love to try the sundae recipe or the pudding. However, eating from my " forbidden " foods list results, for me, in pain. We all do the best we can with what we have to work with. I love the concept of CRON and the reality that I have less daily pain now than I have in the past two years. When I first read your first email I also shared the opinion that you were missing a vital point in CRONism - that of optimizing nutrition as a central tenet of the program. Cutting back on calories is not enough, the optimization of nutrition at the same time as cutting back, is what differentiates us from other " programs. " Many of us use (for me the first time) nutrition tracking software to track what we are eating against a nominal calorie target. This provided insight into what I was actually eating Vs what I though I was eating.
