It is fairly easy to find risk with any food you put in your mouth... for example, Honey can apparently be contaminated with toxic plant alkaloids.... (May 8 Journal of Agricultural and Food Chemistry).

Moderation in all things..

Welcome to the group. Strictly speaking, the safest route would be to eliminate not only sucralose, but aspartame, saccharin, stevia, sugar and honey from your diet. The artificial sweeteners that aren't potentially contaminated (stevia and honey) are potentially carcinogenic (aspartame and saccharin). Sucralose tastes so good that some people feel it stimulates cravings for more sweets and carbohydrates. The problems with sugar are innumerable. Why do you need any of those things?

Your mind and your body are telling you that sucralose is a bad thing for you; and for those of us who have looked at the studies on sucralose and feel comfortable using it, perhaps moderation is warranted. On some of these matters, it's probably best to avoid black-and-white thinking. Some foods are good and helpful in small quantities, but disadvantageous in larger quantities. (Brazil nuts come to mind, with their high calorie and selenium content.)
