Anyone want to comment on their nutrient tracking program?

I am currently using a program called Dietpower (dietpower.com) which

is pretty easy to use and which generates information on about 32 nutrients.

You can factor in up to 3 goals including weight loss or blood pressure or

glucose levels or cholesterol levels or whatever. The program claims to be

able to track your metabolic rate over time and will prescribe the next days

calorie intake according to your activity and food intake history. It allows

you to do a power search for foods high in certain nutrients if you need to

fill up gaps in your diet and it graphs everything including exercise/

activity, weight loss, calorie intake, and individual nutrient intake.

It was designed primarily for weight loss or weight gain, however it

seems to work well for CRON. It needs to have a bigger data base of foods

and the providers are promising to work on that and introduce up grades soon.

You can add recipes and your favorite foods to the program and the added

information is limited only by the amount of information you put in (i.e. if

all you enter is the bare bones information on the label then that's all the

program can use).

Im curious to know what other programs are out there and whether

people even use a program at all.

I use FitDay.com (www.fitday.com), which offers a free online food

journaling service. It's not as comprehensive as I would like, but the

convenience is great -- I can access it from anywhere I have a web

connection.

I'd like to add the list of nutrient programs to one of the files for

everyone's convenience. Please let me know either on or off list of any

others; if they're free; suitable for both Macs and PC's or any pertinant

info; so far:
