Guest guest
Does anyone else use probiotics? By probiotics, I mean symbiotic friendly bacteria like acidophilus, bifidobacteria, and bulgaricus. I have been talking bifidobacterium for over a year, after reading an article that it helps you absorb calcium and is inhibited by meat consumption. Apparently, friendly bacteria in both your upper and lower intestine produce B vitamins as well for you, especially B-12. With the frequent use of antibiotics, we do not necessarily have good colonies. There is also a competition between yeast and bacteria – with the bacteria being the healthier for you. I found that my whole digestive system worked better with the bifido. To me, this is part of ON, since I want to absorb vitamins properly. This may also be why I can get by on 1100 calories. Probiotics help you to deal with fiber as well. I recently had IgG testing that indicated a significant reaction to yeast. As a result, I’ve decided to do a heavier treatment with mixed probiotics to eliminate more yeast from my digestive tract. I had tried Brewer’s yeast for a couple of months, and had many symptoms – stomach problems, tingling lips, and joint pain. So the testing results did not surprise me. I was a big sugar-aholic before CRON – something that encourages yeast bloom – so I probably had a lot of yeast before. By the way, it occurred to me that one of the reasons that the Atkins diet might work for some people is that it would starve out your yeast in your body. Someone with a systemic yeast problem would be cured by the Atkins diet.
