Guest guest
Hi All, Speaking of Asian foods, I am now eating a salad that has the most delicious herb from Japan, Shiso leaf. Normally these are large leaves that cover the palm of your hand, but the variety that I just found are tiny and they are grown in a small little cardboard box. I just use them in my salads which are a glorious mixture of red lettuce, raw grated beets, tiny bit of sweet potatoe, purple cabbage, broccoli and red clover sprouts, the flowers of broccoli, red and yellow peppers, basil leaf, celery leaf, parsley, radish, avocado and shitake mushrooms. The tiny shiso leaves are very potent and penetrate the salad. gorgeous stuff! The dressing is cold pressed olive oil with lemon. MMMMMM. So if you ever run across this lovely plant, give it a try, your mouth just won't believe the delicious taste!
