Guest guest
I just found out about LDN. I have systemic lupus with kidney involvement. Has anyone with lupus had success with LDN? Also, do I have to see Dr. Bihari? His $500 telephone consultation fee is prohibitive. My plan was to talk to my nephrologist about LDN and to get a presrciption from him; but when I called Dr. Bihari's office, I got the impression from Bill that becoming Dr. Bihari's patient is the only way to start. I felt disappointed and started to wonder if LDN treatment is primarily to enrich Dr. Bihari. I had high hopes after learning about LDN. I want to believe. Any insight into how to begin and about success with lupus would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
Guest guest
Hi Pepper, I don't have lupus, but my understanding is that LDN works for any autoammune disease (lupus included. I do know, however, that you do not have to go to Dr. Bahari.....My GP and Neurologist wouldn't prescribe it, so I found a Dr in Wisconsin and a compounding pharmacy there. (I am in Ohio) Dr. Bahari is wayyyy to expensive for me. My first phone appt. cost $85.00 and the LDN from the Prescription Ctr cost $20.00 per mo. But remember, to give Dr. Bahari his due, he covered his own cost for discovering the LDN for our illnesses. It was nice to hear from you and I wish you luck in getting and trying LDN for your lupus. Guest guest
HI PEPPER, ABSOLUTELY NOT AS FAR AS DR. BIHARI BEING THE ONLY ONE TO PRESCRIBE. YOU CAN GET IT PRESCRIBED BY ANY DOCTOR. DR. BIHARI HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH ANY PROFITS FROM THIS DRUG. HIS FEES ARE PRETTY SIMILAR TO ANY NEUROLOGISTS FROM MY EXPERIENCE. ALL YOU WILL NEED IS A FORWARD THINKING DOCTOR WHO SHOULD BE ABLE TO TAKE ONE LOOK AT THIS PROTOCOL AND REALIZE THAT THERE IS NO HARM IN TAKING THIS FDA APPROVED DRUG AT SUCH A LOW DOSE. PLEASE BELIEVE THAT DR. BIHARI IS A KINDLY OLDER GENTLEMAN WHO CERTAINLY IS NOT TRYING TO MAKE A PROFIT OFF OF THIS TREATMENT. I'M SURE THAT IF YOU RUN INTO A BRICK WALL REGARDING SOMEONE TO PRESCRIBE, SOMEONE HERE CAN HELP. LET US KNOW AND ALSO WHEREABOUTS YOU ARE LOCATED. GOOD LUCK TO YOU PEPPER. Guest guest
Hi, I personally became a patient of Dr. bihari. but there is another doctor that you can have a phone conversation with. His name is Dr. Sullivan @ 717-697-5050. I heard he was cheaper. I just felt that Dr.Bihari has more knowledge because he has been researching it for a long time. Dr. Bihari will send you an insurance form that you can submit to your insurance company. And hopefully they will re-imburse you. I wish you liuck and I hope this helps.
