Guest guest
Hello, all- I have been on LDN for almost a month now. I started out on 4.5 and had leg stiffness right away, within the first 3 or 4 days, so I started pouring out half the capsule. Didn't feel right with that so I ordered another RX for 3.0. The next couple of weeks I didn't notice much change. But let me tell you. . .this past week has been amazing. The nerve endings on the bottom of my feet are literally "waking up". I can actually wear socks without feeling like me feet were being crushed to death!! My legs still have that numbing feeling but it's not so deep, if you can understand that. It's so hard to explain the changes but there definitely changes going on with me and I know this is only the beginning. I thank God everyday that I stumbled upon this website, I know he led me there after I prayed endlessly for some kind of relief. I don't mean to sound like a "holy roller" but I definitely believe everything happens for a reason. I will keep you all posted on my healing and I pray we all continue to heal in our own way. Perhaps still have it now as well, to a lesser extent.Particularly when I wake up, my legs much more "rigid" than normal. It doesn't take much stumbling around before they loosen up though, it certainly didn't persist all day. It's a normal side effect at the start of treatment as far as I know, and it has lessened. Dr Lawrence recommends taking it one day, then missing a day, until the stiffness subsides if it's bad, but I didn't bother. I want all the benefit, right now! ;-) Personally I'd just keep going on them! As Larry has just said, there's a fear factor in there as well. Any new feeling is worrying.I'm loving it though, this far in I'm feeling better. Even went for a brief walk earlier.Regarding your second question, Neurontin is "gabapentin" which is an anticonvulsant (originally). It is not a narcotic AFAIK. Valium is a nervous system depressant, again not a narcotic. I don't know about Laroxil I'm afraid - and a quick google search didn't yield anything.I would emphasize that I don't know what I'm talking about and anyone on any drug when considering taking LDN should check with their prescribing physician. I am trying to help someone else just started 3 days ago. He is happy noticing his legs firmer, but worried about this feeling. I know that this is a typical side effect of a dose that might be a bit strong and if the problem persists over 2 weeks, it might be the case of reducing dosage… Did anyone have the same problem? How long did it last? Was it necessary to reduce the dosage after all? Another question on the behalf of another person…does anyone know if Naltrexone is compatible with the following drugs? Neurontin, Laroxil and Valium. Thanks, Massimo Want to chat instantly with your online friends? Get the FREE Messenger
