Guest guest
Hi, My wife has myxoid liposarcoma - rare cancer - she is responding well to a range of alternatives and chemo at the moment but I am keen to find a long term solution. What is best source of info on LDN (books, websites etc)? Any suppliers in the UK? Also we have a number of friends with MS, ME and Parkinsons. I have read that LDN can help in these situations? Any comments? Many thanks Steve Lamont
Guest guest
Hi Jeff My son was pretty much considered high functioning when we started, but he had LOTS of sensory issues, non-responsive, auditory processing problems too. We have had tremendous success with the protocol, as all of the above are pretty much gone, our biggest hurdle now is " socialization " . We started when my son was 3, 2 1/4 years ago. The earlier treatment is begun, the sooner a child can start developing again. I encourage you to pursue your information gathering on . -- In , " jeffsox1 " <jeffsox1@c...> wrote: > > > Hi all, > > I have a 3yo boy, Sam, diagnosed with moderate to severe autism. Guest guest
Hi Jeff, When we started, my son was considered to be on the moderate part of the spectrum, with lots of sensory, language, and some behavior issues. He's been on the protocol for almost three years and has come along amazingly well. He's not completely recovered yet, but he's now considered very high-functioning and can hold his own in a general education classroom. > > I have a 3yo boy, Sam, diagnosed with moderate to severe autism. Guest guest
BTW, forgot to mention that we started the protocol when my son was 4 and 1/2. When he was 3, he was almost completely non-verbal and very unresponsive, like Sam. > > When we started, my son was considered to be on the moderate part of > the spectrum, with lots of sensory, language, and some behavior > issues. Guest guest
WHAT is his diagnosis? If he has a diagnosis, and symptoms, how can they eliminate his IEP? > > > > > > Hi all, > > > > I have a 3yo boy, Sam, diagnosed with moderate to severe autism. > He is > > non-verbal, not very responsive to verbal commands and has a lot > of > > sensory issues. Guest guest
Hi , After reading your response to Jeff......we are in the same boat! My youngest son " " is 5 1/2 and is high functioning, LOTS of sensory issues and has auditiory processing problems. My latest hurdle has been his elementary school. Since he is so high functioning that they don't recognize any of his sensory and auditory problems. Even though he has a diagnosis he was just taken out of the " special ed " category and no longer has an IEP. I came accross this group while searching for help / answers. Re: new to group with a few questions Hi Jeff My son was pretty much considered high functioning when we started, but he had LOTS of sensory issues, non-responsive, auditory processing problems too. Guest guest
, His latest diagnosis is Autistic Spectrum Disorder ..... previously it was the same with PDD - NOS at the end (I'm sure you know what those stand for being that you go through the same stuff). So, basically he's high functioning autistic. I spoke with some support people that helped me a great deal when he was in preschool. They too agreed that they can't eliminate his IEP..... but they did. I am in the process of figuring out how to fight this. Now that he transitioned out of that (preschool setting) I feel like it's me against the system. I attended a couple of Advocacy seminars. It helped a little but not at his latest CSE meeting. It was horrible. They basically claim that as long as he can pass (grade to grade) he's in no need of services. Bla, Bla, Bla. Frustrated. Re: new to group with a few questions WHAT is his diagnosis?
