Guest guest
, Hanger Orthotics has offices all over the place. Can you be specific about what city this office is located in? We used a locally made helmet with our daughter as did a great number of people in this group. We had very good luck with our helmet, but the key to our success was a VERY experienced and VERY skilled orthotist. The right orthotist will be the difference between your chosen helmet or band being successful or not successful. You need to interview the orthotist who will be making your helmet/band and see what kind of experience he/she has had. If the person seems knowledgable and experienced then you will more than likely have a good experience. Will you be getting a locally made helmet or the STARband? You are gettting a good early start and should see LOTS of success with whatever product you go with as long as you have a good orthotist. I am glad that you are with us and hope that you will stick around to share your story as you begin treatment for your baby. I think you will find this group to be a great source of answers, support and friendship. Welcome!! Guest guest
, Hi, and welcome to the group! As far as your question: he is recomending that we use a place called hanger, which is not far from my home. My best advise to you would be go there and talk to the othotist(s) You need to ask questions like, how many children have they treated, what is their success rate, and ask them if you could get in contact with some of the other families that have used them for cranial molding. If you are comfortable with what they have to say, then go for it!! If not, you could get names of some other places from your md. You may also want ot check out the files section, look for questions to ask your orthotist. Hope this helps a little PLease let us know how you make out! Good luck! Guest guest
Hi n & welcome to our group!! You'll be nothing but pleased and very satisfied with Cranial Technologies & their DOCband. We used them and my daughter had very good correction even though she started a bit "older" with severe plagio I've truly heard nothing but great positive feedback about them after being w/this group 2.5 yrs time!!! I toured their home offices in Phoenix in May of this year and was blown away at their expertise, dedication and knowledge of plagio & their band. They truly care for each & every baby. Which clinic did you go to? Will you be getting Logan a band then? He's at a good younger age to receive fast & great correction! Our experience with the band & public was fine. The stares didn't bother me much, I told myself I'd stare too if I didn't know what it was for, it's human nature to stare at anything "different". Good luck, welcome again, we look forward to getting to know you more! Debbi eAbby's mom DOCGrad MIerinnfp <tuesdayef@...> wrote: Hello everyone. My name is n and I have 5 month old twins. I wanted to know what I should expectfrom the visits, caring for the band, other people's reactions etc. I look foward to being a part of this group & your responses!thank you, n
