Hello Matt,

Welcome to this Group,

I am going to send you in a private email an address of a doctor in UK that he is suffering himself of MS and has currently hundreds of patients treated with LDN. He can prescribe you LDN and supply you directly.

Best Luck,

Hello everyone.I've searched the archives but I didn't find anything. Apologies if thishas come up before.I've been given a "probable" diagnosis of MS, the MRI was conclusive to thepoint of the neuro not wanting to put me through the pain of an LP. I'mhappy that's what I have. I'm a 30 year old male who was hit pretty hard bymy first (noticed) attack.I went downhill from running 3 times a week + other sports to needing awalking stick and having massive fatigue. I was affected badly in my righteye, right leg, and right hand, with many symptoms in my left leg as well. So, I got quite bad, from nowhere, quite quickly. All these things add upto me not having the best prognosis IMO (although clearly I cannot knowthis).Anyway, enough background. I've read and researched LDN and whilst it stilldoes sound too good to be true, I couldn't really find anything negative(expect a few who tried it for a few weeks and gave up - haven't they missedthe point?). So, I want some! However, I'm in the England (UK), and am not sure how easy it is to gethere. Like the US, Naltrexone is approved here, but for post opiate abuse.Does anyone know what the rules are in the UK regarding prescribingmedication for a non-standard purpose? Does anyone know anyone in the UKtaking LDN? Is anyone on this group from the UK taking LDN?I would very much appreciate your insights if you have any. Many thanks for everything.Matt.

MS is the disease they dx you with when all others are disproved, as

there is no definitive test for MS. It is a suite of symptoms, MRI lesions

being the most telling (along with other symptoms you mentioned such as

walking problems and fatigue). WRT LDN, I don't know about England but you

could have a doc in the US prescribe it for you and a compounding pharmacy

either in the UK or here could mail it to you... so I don't see the need

to have a UK doc other than she/he would be closer and able to observe

your progress. The contact I used: Dr. Sullivan, 717-697-5050 (EST),

along with Fairview Compounding Center, Steele 800-882-1377 or

717-540-7031. Good luck.

[low dose naltrexone] LDN in the UK

Hey UK people! Up till now I have been getting my LDN script privately and getting it filled at the chemist in Scotland. But then I saw a new neuro who has told my GP its OK to prescribe it for me on the NHS! And double bonus, I have just been to Tesco who say no problem getting it in for me! And too think, now its on the NHS I will get it free because of being diabetic!Helen ~ UKDiabetes type 1Ankylosing spondylitisSPMS
