LDN in the UK

Hello everyone.

I've searched the archives but I didn't find anything. Apologies if this

has come up before.

I've been given a " probable " diagnosis of MS, the MRI was conclusive to the

point of the neuro not wanting to put me through the pain of an LP. I'm

happy that's what I have. I'm a 30 year old male who was hit pretty hard by

my first (noticed) attack.

I went downhill from running 3 times a week + other sports to needing a

walking stick and having massive fatigue. I was affected badly in my right

eye, right leg, and right hand, with many symptoms in my left leg as well.

So, I got quite bad, from nowhere, quite quickly. All these things add up

to me not having the best prognosis IMO (although clearly I cannot know

this).

Anyway, enough background. I've read and researched LDN and whilst it still

does sound too good to be true, I couldn't really find anything negative

(expect a few who tried it for a few weeks and gave up - haven't they missed

the point?). So, I want some!

However, I'm in the England (UK), and am not sure how easy it is to get

here. Like the US, Naltrexone is approved here, but for post opiate abuse.

Does anyone know what the rules are in the UK regarding prescribing

medication for a non-standard purpose? Does anyone know anyone in the UK

taking LDN? Is anyone on this group from the UK taking LDN?

I would very much appreciate your insights if you have any.

Many thanks for everything.

Matt.
