Guest guest
Steve you are doing an incredible job and congratulatons. I follow the same program as you do as I've never counted calories, but eaten all the low calorie, high nutritional recepies from various sources that I want. I also purchased some sucralose, guar gum, kefir grains and have toyed with some of the deserts which satisfy that sweet tooth from time to time. I also enjoy " regular " meals when I eat out or go to someones house or tailgating before a Titans game. My weight has stayed in the 158-165 range for about 18 months now. (I weighed as much as 200 previously on a 5'9 " frame) I continue to engage in running, moderate weight lifting and in-line skating on a regular basis with the occasional downhill sking trip and hikes thrown in. This works for me and I feel great. The two of us show that remarkable gains can be made by simply eating the right foods in moderation without the neurotic calorie counting, nutritent tracking obsession that seem to rule some CRONies lives and predisposes them to think about their diets 24/7. Of course, that's their right but I firmly believe CRON would have a larger appeal if it's participants weren't usually perceived as a collection of odd, cultish, rigid, anal, emaciated geeks. Don't think of myself in those terms here (or most >cronies for that matter). Everyone has a different level obsessive >extremes to which they practice CRON with some not being obsessive >at all. Which always brings us to the ultimate question....what is >normal? I guess I'm abnormal where I work -- having switched from a typical lunch based on white pasta and cheese, to a lunch of primarily soup & salad. Many of my burgers & fries co-workers see me as some kind of " space alien " with regard to my current diet. One said, " If I had to live off shoots and roots all my life, I'd probably just end it all. "

Guest guest
Hi Everyone! Thanks for all the posts about your experiences with LDN! I started taking it 1 month ago (March 10th) at the 4.5mg dosage. I have experienced 4 benefits so far: I sleep more deeply and wake up more rested, I have improved energy and interest in doing things, an increasingly difficult problem with constipation has corrected itself, and the apparent start of a " flare-up " with severe dizziness, imbalance and fatigue was " derailed " in 24 hours! I still feel like I have MS...I just have a " normal " feeling that is hard to describe which I didn't have before. I am very pleased! And though " symptom relief " is not a claim of LDN, and even if these " benefits " only last a few months, my main hope is to stop the progression of my secondary-progressive MS. That will take a while to access, as it has been progressing slowly, even while on Copaxone for 2.5 years. I quit Copaxone in January before I found out about LDN because I felt the effectiveness was low and the cost was very high! I will report here if I find that I still progress while on LDN. However, I am optimistic that I will not. I printed off some information from the LDN.org website and took it to my MS support group yesterday. I included some of the posts from this discussion group for them read (I hope that is ok with everyone). None of the support group members had heard of LDN and were very interested! I suspect word will spread quickly as more and more folks start using it. My prayers and best wishes are with you all! Sue
