Guest guest
Is there anyone still taking 3 mg? I asked my neuro for 3 mg to start. How would I know if 3 mg is working, or if 4.5 would be more beneficial. I only weigh 130 lbs and am 5'4, so I figured if most people taking 4.5 are taller and weigh more, 3 mg should be enough for me. Is that wrong? Should I go back and ask for 4.5, or should I wait a few weeks and see how the 3 is?
Guest guest
my opinion (and I haven't started yet) is that what we're trying to do is do a temporary block of the endorphin receptors, which then signals your body to produce more - that's one reason they warn against the slow acting naltrexone, they want it to do it's deed and degrade quickly. I talked to the researcher Tuesday and asked him about doses, he said anything between 3 and 10mg -- not below or above that. So you could try 4.5 mg, but remember you're trying to signal your body -- NOT block the uptake of opiates like this drug was created to do. My two cents....
