Guest guest
Congratulations ! The only thing I know about Europe is Ireland requires a lot of walking up and down hills and lots of stairs--not very handicapped accessable at all. My husband is Irish and keeps talking about going there for a visit, but from what friends have told us it looks like he'll have to go without me. Since Maximo lives in Italy, maybe he can give you some good locations. By the way, are you by any chance cruising to Alaska with Karl Keeting in August? Guest guest
, Great that your hubby has won such a nice trip. Now 3/4 days is not a lot of time and it really depends if you like beach or town but I suppose you could go to Florida any time you like. My suggestion if you like Italian grub is to spend the time in Florence Italy. Most hotels have a nice swimming pool so the water is taken care of. The architecture, Art galleries and museums are fantastic and of course you can see some very famous pictures and buildings. The Italian food in Florence is probably my favourite and I recommend a restaurant called "Paoli" on the Via Tavolina in Florence, a picture of which I have put below. This is like eating in a castle dining room and the food is absolutely fantastic. The shopping is not bad either and make sure Hubby takes his credit card!!! All the best ce. Guest guest
I've never been to Europe, but I've heard from many people that they absolutely loved Italy. The suggestion below sounds like a good one. -----Original Message-----From: LFinestone@... Guest guest
Hi , ce already told me about Florence and this restaurant he knows. I cannot disagree with him, Florence is rich of restaurant, hotels, shops, museums and food is great... However, there are a lot of other interesting places to see in Italy... Just as an idea, for this summer, look for accommodations in Capri (south-west of Italy, not far from Naples) …follow this link…. http://www.capri.net/salsa/lang/en/page/home.html If you cannot find there anything you fancy, I will give you more ideas later. Guest guest
Thanks for the info! That is sad about them stopping the special needs stuff....where is the empathy? Interesting about the after 3:00 Policy! dh and I went for a quick weekend getaway last month and when I saw the wonder works building we both thought dd would absolutely loose it if she saw an upside down building...I'll let ya know how that goes :-) I have always wondered about the comedy barn...is it tacky or just fun??? - C. Mom to Cassie 15 PCOS, Austin 13 ADHD and a 3 HFA/AS & SPD/SID ( ) Vacation time Hello All, We are planning a vacation in June to Pigeon Forge Tennessee. We are going at the same time as my sister and her family and will be doing some things together. She also has a special needs daughter and we are trying to pre-plan and look into as much as we can now... We are looking into the DollyWood /Splash Country Season Passes just because we will be there for a week and being able to go on multiple days will be a much better way than trying to do it all in one day....especially when you never know how dd will react. I have heard that Disney World/Land has programs that are available to children with special needs....as far as being able to pass in line ect. Does anyone know anything about that? Any other ideas on how we can make this a good trip? Thanks - C. Mom to Cassie 15 PCOS, Austin 14 ADHD and a 3 HFA/AS & SPD/SID P.S. Austin turns 14 today!!!! Guest guest
My lil one is 3.5yo...we have found that printing up a picture schedule helps her tremendously! It would be fun to have the older 2 kids " research " some stuff from around there and make her little picture books/guides for when we go to various places...Thanks for the idea!!! - C.
