Guest guest
GREAT NEWS! Hang in there and best wishes. Well, I went to have a chat with my GP yesterday about ldn, and he said YES!!! I was so excited. I mean I figured he would say yes , but it's still so awesome to hear those words "I'll let you try it"!! I gave him all the ldn info a while back, but I didn't know if he had looked at it yet. I had my arguement all ready for him.....I think I must have talked for about 10 minutes straight when I realized that he had said yes after the first minute lol. I was determined yesterday that I wasn't going to walk out of there without a prescription. He has agreed to let me try it for 60 days and see how it goes.....I wasn't going to argue with him. I love this guy. You should see how thick my file is. I bring him all kinds of information and stuff that I find on MS. He is just a small town GP, and he only looks after 3 MS patients, and actually knows very little about it, but we are learning together. He is always interested in any research I have done, and ends up researching it himself, which I think is great. Now I'm just trying to find a pharmacy in Canada that will provide the ldn. I've called one pharmacy and the pharmacist has to do her own research and get back to me...I take it that she's never heard of it!! I wonder how much phone tag I'm going to have to play before I find a pharmacy that will do it for me. If anyone knows of any Canadian compounding pharmacies that is already familiar with LDN, I would appreciate knowing. I'm still doing my happy dance from yesterday he he he!!!!! So when is this rebif burning party ? I have a full box to burn he he he. Can you tell I'm excited?? Better go and get something done, just couldn't wait to let you all know my good news. Guest guest
Hi Kerry, I am happy for you. but why do you have to have a compounding pharmacy in canada do it for you. Your doctor can call or fax your prescription to Irmat Pharmacy in NY. You don't just want any old pharmacy, you want one that is familiar with LDN. And there are others too in U.S.A. You can call Irmat and get his fax no. He will send it to you. He doesn't charge me to send it to me but I am in the U.S. but you can ask him. Irmat's no is 212-685-0500 Keep healthy. Hi Marie, thanks for the info, but I just don't think I want to mess with having to cross a border with my drugs, could be a lot of hassle, and sometimes things get held up at the border for various reasons. I just thought it would be much easier to get it right in Canada. I think I may have found one right here in Saskatchewan, just waiting to hear back from them. Guest guest
Wow Kerry, Good news... I was starting to think that you were talking about my doc when you were describing him. Mine is the same type of small town doc. I was actually amazed when I noticed that he had no receptionist and even wrote the receipt himself. Said he preferred it that way. He has a great attitude about everything and actually listens to me when I see him. Told me that I might benefit from monthly B12 shots and told me to just drop by and he would do this for me for $10.00 a shot. He certainly is no money grubber so I told him sure...I would come by and get the shot once a month, which reminds me that it is time...lol. Joyce.
