Hello board! I am 's daughter. I've been lurking here for a

week or so and am now posting. I am still learning the format for

this board so bear with me!

As for histamine treatment..... This is not the same " histamine "

that you take Benadryl to combat. I have been on Prokarin

(transdermal histamine patch) for 3.5 years with amazing improvements

in symptoms. Day 2 I was taking hot showers, something MS had taken

away from me. Now I don't have to hibernate in the summers in

Atlanta (Hotlanta for a reason!!) as I can tolerate the heat. Also,

before Prokarin I was crippled with fatigue - I was 24 years old and

could barely make it through the day at work. I felt like I was 90!

That too improved with Prokarin and allowed me to start becoming more

normal. Could make it through the day and even have energy left

over. I was still having attacks though...

.....until LDN. My mom has told you my story, so I won't bore you

repeating the details except to say that I have never really received

any symptom relief from LDN, per se. If I didn't have RRMS it

probably would be a bit more difficult to determine if it is

working. For me, no attacks in 3 years when I was having them every

2 months tells me it is working. For those without " attacks " it will

be more gradual and subtle, and will take more time to know. If you

don't get worse, it is working. If you get " better " , well that is a

bonus.

I am so excited about this board and that the word about LDN is

slowly but surely getting out there.
