LDN and leg stiffness

I know this has been discussed and I have received so many great

answers and encouragement from everyone. I reduced my ldn dosage

from 4.5 to 3mg, because I thought, like some of you, that it would

solve the leg stiffness that I was experiencing, but the stiffness

is so bad now, I can't walk at all. I called the Dr. and the

Pharmacist (Dr. wasn't in) and the pharmacist said that he had never

heard from any of his MS patients, about leg stiffness, and that he

was going to e-mail Dr. Bahari about it. I will let you all know

what I find out, as soon as I know. I would like to know if my

friends here have any input for this delima of mine. Maybe I am

having an exacerbation?? I haven't had one in years but thats what

it feels like. My arms are also getting a little heavy and tingly.

But I could be over-stressed about this....and that I know will

bring back old symptoms. I would really love to hear what you

have to say about this......I don't know weather to stop or go up or

go down in dosage?? I love LDN....it has given me my balance

back......but what good is balance, if you can't stand up and

walk..lol....I guess I won't fall out of my chair...thats a plus.

I wish you all well....Sally

Hi Sally,

I am sorry to hear that you are getting so stiff. I am on 3mg and when I

get up in the morning I am a little stiff but after moving around I loosen

up fine. I definetely would get in touch with your Dr. about this. Maybe

you need to go to 2mg. Everybody is different and you may get as good of

results that someone else may get at a higher dose. LDN is a good thing, you

just need to find what is right for you. Please keep us posted, we care.

And I hope that everything turns out okay for you.

Marie

It's hard, at least it has been for me, to figure out what doseage to take even after a couple months of using LDN. But I'm still experimenting and hope that after awhile, I will learn what to take and when. I started on 4.5 mg. and because of spasms and stiffness, I went to 3 mg. and felt much better. Then, at one point started feeling worse and went back to 4.5 mg. for a few days and felt better. Then after a week, had to go back to 3 mg. again. Once again over the past few weeks , I found myself really deteriorating (worse than usual) because of extreme stress, so I started back on 4.5 mg last night. Today, already I feel somewhat better. I think it's really a learning experience that maybe we will eventually all learn for ourselves over a period of time what works for us. Fortunately, I now have both 4.5 mg. and 3.0 supply so I can go back and forth as needed.
