Guest guest
I've been taking 3.0 mg doses at night since Friday. Seem to be less stiff getting out of bed in the morning, and I'm not having to, er, run to the bathroom. It's hard to tell if anything else is changing because I'm so tired--the LDN is keeping me awake even after taking melatonin, and after I do get to sleep I wake up a few hours later, wide awake. I hope my body adjusts soon as I don't know how much longer I can go without a decent night's sleep.--Martha
Guest guest
Martha you might try an over the counter sleep aid. When melatonin doesn't work I go ahead and take Excedrine PM or Tylenol PM which ever I have in the house. Some people use a script sleep aid but I try not to. I'm on 4.5mg of LDN. Hopefully you can increase to 4.5mg and notice more symptom improvement. I'm rootin for ya. I got outside in this horrible humidity today and washed my van by hand. Now this is a person who could barely get her bra on without nearly passing out from the exhaustion/fatigue of trying to put the bra on. I've been on LDN for 32 days as of today at 4.5mg. I'm walking on sunshine. VoyForums: LDN(Low Dose Naltrexone) Forum http://www.voy.com/156761/

Guest guest
Thanks, Bren. I'll try that as a last resort. I haven't done an over-the-counter med in years, and LDN is the first pharmaceutical since diagnois. One would think 5mg of melatonin would do it. I was under the impression from the LDN website that sleeplessness is temporary.--M > Martha you might try an over the counter sleep aid. Guest guest
HI MARTHA....3MG MIGHT JUST BE TOO HIGH FOR YOU. DR BAHARI HAS SAID THAT IF SLEEPLESSNESS PERSISTS, YOUR DOSE IS TOO HIGH. HE SUGGESTS THAT YOU REDUSE THE DOES FOR A HILE AND GO UP TO 3 SLOWLY AS YOUR BODY ADJUSTS. HOPE THIS HELPS YOU. HUGS, SALLY > I've been taking 3.0 mg doses at night since Friday. Guest guest
Dr. Bihari says that if you still aren't sleeping after about a week of being on LDN, then your dose needs to be cut back a little. good Luck Marie ----- Original Message ----- From: " mertburton " <mburtonakod@...> <low dose naltrexone > Sent: Tuesday, August 12, 2003 4:52 PM Subject: [low dose naltrexone] checking in: Day 4 LDN > I've been taking 3.0 mg doses at night since Friday. Guest guest
I had a couple sleepless couple nights going from 3->4.5 but it settled down and now I don't miss any hours sleep... since 4.5mg is the recommended/ideal dose, I would keep trying to make it work for you but if it is impossible cut back... Guest guest
Have an idea for you. Go to sleep and put your alarm on and take it while half asleep. You should go back to sleep. Give it a try. Hope this helps. mira On Tuesday, Aug 12, 2003, at 15:52 US/Central, mertburton wrote: > I've been taking 3.0 mg doses at night since Friday. Guest guest
Sleep and put your alarm on and take it half asleep should work for you. Make sure you keep the lights off and take it and you'll go right back to sleep. mira On Tuesday, Aug 12, 2003, at 15:54 US/Central, mertburton wrote: > I've been taking 3.0 mg doses at night since Friday. Guest guest
Pls. keep in mind that its summer and we are suffering like we always to in summer. Give it some time and when the weather changes you'll be okay. mira On Tuesday, Aug 12, 2003, at 15:54 US/Central, mertburton wrote: > I've been taking 3.0 mg doses at night since Friday. Guest guest
I would put an alarm in the middle of the night and take it sleepy if I were you. mira On Tuesday, Aug 12, 2003, at 18:45 US/Central, mertburton wrote: > Thanks, Bren.
