Guest guest
Hi Kathy, This sounds exactly like what I used to experience a about 4 or 5 years ago. I'd have an " attack " where I could not turn my head from side to side without a great deal of pain. This would last for about a day or two before it would subside. I finally narrowed it down to the push-ups I was doing daily. When I stopped doing push-ups I never really had a problem. My mri showed up a bulging disk as well. Not sure how any of it relates to MS or not though. There is one particular weight machine at the health club that I could not do without pain and that was the inclide bench at a slight angle back. I stayed away from that machine cuz I knew that is caused me a lot of pain just to use. I really felt bad that I had to give up those push ups cuz I felt they were a wonderful way to shape the arms...just not worth the pain. I decided to try again after stopping for a few months with no pain and sure enough I got one of those attacks again so I said No to push -ups. Joyce. Is it possible, or best to come here (I'm now on the actual group). 2 - I found it extremely interesting about the disc problems people mentioned, b/c on my MRI it reported a mild concentric disc bulging at C5-6 without significant impingement upon the thecal sac. I haven't talked to the neuro about this, my visit is in a couple weeks, but now that I read that others have it, I'm curious! I don't have ANY back problems, other than occasionally it will feel like I've pinched something more in my low part of shoulder blade, but the MRI was of the c-spine. I do weight tapes and they use a barbell up on the back of their shoulders, and this usually will feel like too much pressure so I don't normally use the bar on my back so I don't do my back any damage. I'm not familiar with disc bulging and was going to ask the neuro. Guest guest
Oh and I'm not sure how you would reply in digest form..that is why I don't use that delivery method. I think you would have to go to the main page and post from there? Or just keep the addy handy and create a whole new message to respond? If anyone knows anything different I'd like to know this as well. Joyce.
