Oh boy...as much as I do love these forums it is a bit hard to keep up with

more then just a couple. I sure do hope that this group does not fragment

off into different groups. We all miss so much that way. One central

location is best for everyone. If any of us does not join the this

particular group then we will miss any messages from those that are posted

there. I really do hope that we keep this one intact. I guess I'm not quite

sure why you would need your own forum. Joyce.

Joyce,

Most of the replies on this forum goes to the poster's private email address. I

like to see the replies also. The reply is how we learn. I visit several MS

forums and I see the same people posting in most all of them. At least in my

forum you will be able to read the replies instead of wishing you knew what the

answer was to a particular question a person asked but do not know because the

answer was sent to a private email address instead of the forum. The owner of

this LDN board wrote to me and said that this board was set up for updates and

not for lots of traffic and that's why this board is set to reply to a person's

private email. I don't like that so I created my own LDN board. I won't stop

visiting this forum or the Spotlight_LDN forum either just because I have

created my own LDN forum.

New LDN forum, no registration or private email required. Drop in and tell your

story. My story is already posted there. And your replies won't go to someone's

private email address, it will be posted on the forum. Also, there are no ads

in the middle of your posts or replies.

I actually dropped three other groups, getting bombarded with emails,

I probably couldve just changed the email settings, but just left

instead. I help manage another MS site, and needed to focus more on

that. 's site is pretty cool, hey c'mon, it's just another way

to communicate.

Agree with both Joyce and Guy on this one. I think as time goes on people will learn how to use this group properly. Someone suggested recently that we reply directly to an individual if we just wish to pass on thanks or similar comments that are unlikely to be of interest to the group as a whole - a great idea!

I think the problem here is one of education and I mean that in the sense that some posts are replying to a question but the original question has not been included. I am no expert by any stretch of the imagination but I think this site would work perfectly well if we were more careful when making a response. I believe this plea has already been made.

If we check carefully who our responses are going to we could avoid inundating everyone with pointless email. Of course some of the problems may be technical which I know nothing about but at the moment I am getting two of each of Bren's posts. Why is that I wonder? Am I the only one?

I dont agree, I just dont think visiting 's site complicates my

life any more, or compromises any faithfullness to any other site I

visit. Its only a mouse click! has her own reasons for

creating it, I have my own reasons for visiting it. And by the way,

yes I receive two replies everytime someone posts here.

Great idea Bren. What a good way to learn more as well. Reading

everyone's story and hopefuly you will get more people to come write

from other MS forums and we can get all the help and support we need by

just learning from their stories.

I think you should advertise your web site big time on or Google

and encourage others to come tell us how they were faring with it.

Great !

p.s. I want to thanks all of you for the pep talk

who encouraged me to come back to the group. :-)

Same here one group is more than enough, would get confusing, though I

will go around and read if anyone else has other sites up. The more

information the better. Maybe we can even help someone else in there

too.

I also run a group, MSWatchers

After I started LDN back in April it seems a lot of people who are not taking

LDN have either left or gone very very quiet. So the place is quite quiet

nowadays, if anyone on LDN wants to come share progress or talk about MS or LDN

or any other alternatives, be my guest.

Oh no ...that is not what I meant really. If you go there we would just

like for you to come here as well. Was just thinking that creating more

forums as opposed to having one main place would kind of fragment it. It is

already confusing when someone posts something that I know someone on the

other forum could answer. I sit there wondering if they will see it if I

don't forward it..etc. I wish all of you luck and fun with your sites

really...I just hate for anyone to miss anything that might potentially help

them. I for one do cc a message to the group as well as to the person that

sent it. Spose I should just overight the section...that would help some

no? Joyce.

Hi Bren,

I totally agree with you about seeing all of the posts. When this forum just

started up there was some talk about only sending replies to the sender but

we all agreed that we want to share them with everyone everytime unless it

was something specific to that person. I usually click reply and then cc it

to the group so that everyone will see my response. I know that a lot of it

is repetative but there are always new people that have never seen the info.

I have just started to overright the private addy with the LDN one rather

then to reply and cc it to the LDN one. That might help in some small way.

Oh and I have noticed several references to the fact that God is not welcome

here...that is entirely not true. We simply wanted to mention that we need

to keep the extraneous posts down to a minimum. Please everyone, feel free

to express yourself and don't be afraid that anyone will be offended by

sending some a well wish or something. I think we are just trying to stop

the messages that tend to be forwarded...etc. I think we all realize that

God is certainly someone that needs to come by and visit with us...*S*. I am

always the first one to say Godspeed to a cure...{{{{hugs}}}} and Godbless.

Joyce.

Hi Joyce,

Of course I can only speak for myself, but I have shortcuts to all of

the sites I visit on my desktop, there isnt really one that I would

visit more than any other one. I'm receiving all emails from your

group, as well as Home Away From Home (I help manage that one)

Great idea Larry. How many did you find where using it with MS other

than us here?

I'm off to check out your other group.
