Guest guest
School mould alarms parents Parents of children in Peel will be watching their children closely over the summer after what they heard last night about mould in school portables. Headaches, muscle pain, fatigue, fevers, coughs and shortness of breath were some of the symptoms which might be associated with exposure to mould, Dr. Eisenbarth and Dr. Clive Davies of Hamilton General told a meeting at Nahani Way Public School, Mississauga. Radke, a Peel teacher who missed 100 days of school last year because of illness, and had to have fungus removed from his sinuses said: ``If your kids are in a portable . . . get them the hell out.' ' Gordon Flett, a member of the Parents of Peel, which held the meeting, said: ``We're not interested in debating the long-term or causal effects. Parents don't want their children exposed to fungus - large or small. We believe this is a widespread problem.''
