Hi ,

She is about the same...she has appt with Neuro and a Spinal tap,

soon?? She had a stroke and has an inflamation on the right side of

brain......she is recovering, but still has weakness on left side

and speech problem is just noticable to her. She sounds fine to

me. So I guess the stroke was mild, and they took her off birth

control patch, just in case that was the cause. They are testing

for, of course, (MS), parkinsons, lupus etc....I'm wondering to

myself if the inflamation on brain is a lesion? I hope not, but

then, like I told her, there are worse things.

Thank you and all for your concern.

Love, Sally

:

Since your daughter has had a stroke, you might want to check out hyperbaric

therapy to help her recover from the stroke. I understand it has been

working wonders on some stroke victiims and it is harmless if it doesn't

work

It's a procedure where you are put into a chamber, pure oxygen is induced into the chamber and then the pressure inside the chamber is increased slowly to approximately 3 atmospheres. This causes hyper oxidation of your blood and tissues.

The excess oxygen increases the speed of healing in tissues and nerves. Braign tissues damaged by a stroke have been known to show almost complete repair and recovery. Hyperbaric Therapy is also used for burn victims with much success.

If interested, information can be found on the web as well as locations of the hyperbaric chambers across the USA. If you have any problems locating some, let me know and I'll surf the web and refer you to the info.

I don't really know if Hyperbaric Therapy is very effective on Bells Palsey. Some research would have to be done in order to successfully speculate.

To Kathy, I read your post about your daughter. I am so sorry she

is so ill. I promise to put her in my thoughts and prayers everday

from here on in. Please keep us all posted on how she is doing. You

I only wish good things, and good health for you and your family.

Kathy,

This almost doesn't seem fair to you. You've been through enough. You must be a tough lady, or at least God must know you are! I truly believe God does not give us more than we can handle, and that those who endure suffering such as you have are being led by God to a greater lesson in character than most of us will learn. It is a trial of faith, and I will pray that God is near to you every step of the way...that you feel the comfort of His presence each and every moment.

Please let us know how your daughter is.

Hugs,

Patty

Subject: Need prayers

Hi all. I haven't been on the site for awhile as my 16 yr daughter has been quite sick. She supposedly has double pneumonia and is not getting any better. This has been going on since before thanksgiving. I have been praying about it, but losing hope as each day seems to be the same or a turn for the worse. I have been giving her everything I can think of to support her immune system and she has been on 2 different antibiotics. She has no energy and her lungs sound worse. Her finals are next week and she has missed alot of school and is still at home. I find myself panicking. My husband died five years ago despite my trying everything to make sure he got a correct diagnosis. It just doesn't seem normal for her to be sick for so long and not be bouncing back like she should. I am afraid this stress in taking me down the road to poor health again and I have fought so hard. But I am so depressed that I am not sleeping, eating right and I feel so nervous. Please say prayers for my daughter and also for me to feel God's peace in this situation. Thanksblessings, kathy
