Guest guest
, My wife Judi, who has RRMS, is doing very well on LDN since starting 7/18/03. Also, she has been using MSM powder for the past two years. It works very well for pain and inflammation. A tsp twice a day. If you are on any blood thinners, it would be contraindicated as it will thin the blood. Guest guest
Emanuel I have no more inflammation I took Wobenzyme and that helped. For years that was my biggest problem with inflammation. What kind of blood thinners? I take Wobenzyme, Endozyme that has Nattokinase. Guest guest
Mira, Yes, Wobenzyme is probably one of the very best digestive enzyme complexes available. I am not familiar with all the various blood thinner medications. The point I was attempting to make was that if a person is on blood thinner of any kind, then addition of MSM could thin the blood too much and cause problems. My wife Judi has been taking MSM daily for over two years. On and off during this time, she concurrently took Megazyme and at other times took Now brand Super Enzymes. Neither one ever caused any clotting problems and all her blood work (2 pages) have been in the center of the normal ranges for everything. Really healthy, just has MS :-)) However, she developed pain in her left hip which was more evident when laying on her right side. This would happen nightly. She started taking a tsp of MSM before bed and that eliminated the problem. She has continued to use the MSM along with the LDN and her hip has remained pain free. I suspect that rebounding has contributed much to the alleviation of the hip problem as well as improving her balance. We both feel strongly in favor of LDN and gentle rebounding along with other supplementing protocols. Hope this helps. Wishing you all the best, Emanuel & Judi wordww@... wrote: > Emanuel > I have no more inflammation I took Wobenzyme and that helped. > For years that was my biggest problem with inflammation. > What kind of blood thinners? Guest guest
Thank you Emanuel Sounds like you have been researching and getting somewhere ! I am glad. I am so glad your wife is doing better with her combination. I will give MSM a check with my herbalist. I will be careful with blood thinners thanks. But Last year when I finally got back to the US, after three years of being stuck without my medicines or suppliments in Pakistan. (government banned them), my doctors said my blood was too thick 19 hemoglobin, and wanted to oxygenate it as well, and teach my cells to unclutter and stop clinging and storing things inside not letting anything in or out of them. They made me dump one pint of it so my body will make new oxygenated healthy cells, and by then I was taking all the good things like Wobenzyme and Endozyme and many many other meds to make new good new blood cells. Like Cod,Shark Oil and Omega 3 and 6. I don't know its all so complicated. But I will look into MSM I heard about it many times. So your wife uses it for pain? What does it do exactly? Do you know? Will also check on the other enzymes you mentioned. Its nice to see you care so much to keep in touch with all of the MS patients and LDN updates for her. Give her my best regards and tell her hope to see her typing too one day soon. Guest guest
HI MARTHA, WHAT EXACTLY IS MSM....THANKS,SALLY
Guest guest
Sally, MSM is methysulfonylmethone--sulfur. The second highest mineral occurring in our bodies. If we're not eating raw, leafy green vegetables, we're not getting it. Ever see dogs or cats eating grass? They're trying to get sulfur. I use it for energy. As Emanuel said, his wife uses if for pain and inflammation. Sometimes it's combined with glucasamine for joint problems. Plenty of info on the 'net. Check it out. Guest guest
Martha. thanks...I'm allergic to the sulfa drugs...does it prclude me from taking msm? Guest guest
Sally, I believe sulfa and sulfur are two different things, but please check out info on the 'net anytime someone recommends something.--Martha > Martha. thanks...I'm allergic to the sulfa drugs...does it prclude > me from taking msm? Guest guest
Martha, Very good point. We both take 10-12 grams of calcium ascorbate daily. The product we use is Now brand with the C complex included. It comes in a 3 lb container and is quite cost effective. With calcium ascorbate as opposed to ascorbic acid, you do not run into the bowel problem. No pun intended :-) It is the ascorbate ion, not the hydrogen ion that does you all the good. Plus, you are getting additional calcium. The above dosage is taken in five or six divided doses throughout our waking hours. The LDN is still the one single best addition to our arsenal in the war on MS. My wife Judi has had a good day everyday since starting LDN 7/18/03. Nothing short of miraculous as two days in a row would be the longest prior to LDN. She started at 3.0 ml and after 12 days increased to 4.5 ml. NO adverse side effects, no muscle or sleep problems. She is not on any other medication after five years of Avonex and two months of Rebif. Been med free for over a year.
