The therapeutic dose is a maximum of 4.5mg. Anything higher that that could (will?) cause the opiate receptors to get blocked for too long, meaning that by the time they are unblocked, the body has finished its natural nightly endorphin creation cycle.

As a result you'll get no benefit at all, I would guess. There's some brief discussion on this on the ldn website somewhere or other.

Take it easy :)

Matt.

Whathappens if you have 6 or 9 mg in you one night? Would you notice anything thatday, or the next? How long would it affect you?I don't think I took 2 tonight, I just haven't thought about what two of themwould do, separated by an hour or 2

I've never done that but I have gone from 3mg to 4.5mg over the last week

and did notice a difference: rapid heart beating and insomnia with 4.5mg.

I'm back to 3mg for the moment (I had a months supply left) but want to

move to 4.5mg for maximum benefit.

Larry,

I don't think it would have any adverse effects, as the dose for drug

addicts is 50 mg's, I just don't think it would be as beneficial.

There has been discussions in the past about ways to avoid doubling up,

we all do it!!! How about a pill box with days and am pm?

I forget what I have done all the time, not because I have MS I don't (my

father is taking LDN for kidney cancer) but because I am sleep deprived

as a mum!!

Don't worry.

in Oz.
