Guest guest
Thank GOD for LDN and learn to thank GOD for MS. Read on please... To in : I appreciate your bountiful supply of encouragement on this board. You asked if MS victims could ever really label themselves as atheists. The word atheist means " no God. " But the self-proclaimed atheist cannot prove that there is no GOD. Therefore, at best, he is an agnostic and chooses to ignore the eternal proofs in nature and the heavenly truths in GOD's Word that point to a Creator of all beings and things. wrote, " The fool hath said in his heart, 'There is no God.' " The apostle recorded that he prayed 3 times to GOD to heal him of his infirmity. GOD's response... " My grace is sufficient for thee. " Like so many here, I was DXed with MS at the advanced age of 51. My heart goes out to those who were DXed at 20 or 30 something. The grace of GOD has and will be the sole source of sufficiency and His mercy endures forever. To Kiki in NY: GOD does indeed help those who help themselves. However, HIS glory is revealed in helping those who cannot help themselves. GOD has allowed this disease to infiltrate our lives to carry out HIS infintely divine will. If our attitude is strongly positive in front of others, the love of GOD is allowed to shine through our countenance and we will find purpose in sharing our faith in GOD with people who are atheist/agnostic? My agnostic nephew emailed me last month apologizing for the way he mocked my faith behind my back for years and has come full circle to be united in fellowship with GOD's people and serving GOD as a minister of godly music. People where I work often say, " You don't seem very sick. " I smile and say, " GOD bless you " (even though they didn't sneeze) and I drive my 3-wheel Rascal scooter away. I say a simple prayer that GOD might use me to help them understand how magnificent GOD truly is, especially in times of adversity. Thank you Lord for MS rather than Alzheimer's. And thanks GOD for the LDN tip, too. JD - with a peace that passes all unerstanding.
