Guest guest
Get on the homeodetox list to ask the down and dirty questions, but for a start look at www.hsvlabs.com to see what I think may be an alternative for kids with constitutions that cannot take the heavy duty hand. This is a list from the National Center for Homeopathy. Hope it is helpful.(this was just a list for oregon practitioners-sorry that is all she supplied me per my request) see homeodetox-talkegroups about subscribing. Guest guest
Thanks for this info! I only have one question....I tried to look up www.hsvlabs.com (like on your post) but I can't get anything. Is this the correct website? Guest guest
Nikki, Hi! You can put " 1 " in the " Message " box at the upper right or you can put in a key word in the " Search Archive " box. It might be easier to go to the yellow box at the left and click on " Files " . The files should contain enough information to get you started and you won't have to read through a thousand messages. If you need mixing info., please ask. I will have a file for mixing in a day or two. Also, I would recommend reading the information at www.houstonni.com. > Hello: > > I have just joined the list and would dearly like to start at the beginning > of all this. Guest guest
Hi Margaret...... welcome aboard We're very new to enzymes ourselves, and started Zyme Prime and Ppetizyde with (4, ASD) nine days ago. His digestion improved within a few days, he's had very few stomach aches (he used to have them every day) and generally he's been in very good spirits and is attempting much more verbal communication (although it is very early days yet). But you should notice some change quickly if they're effective for you. We're keeping GFCF as well at the moment (taking the belt and braces approach!). Good luck LOL Eileen and --- MMacGregor@... wrote: > Hi > > I want to order some peptizyde. Guest guest
Hi Liz, I am sorry that you are having such a hard time. The only thing that I can add to this, is Dr. Bihari told me that if you experience insomnia then you need to cut back on the dose. Maybe you don't need to cut back too much just a little. He said that it is normal to have insomnia for about a week but after that it tells him that the dose is too high. Maybe if you can get a good nights sleep then your other symptoms won't seem so bad. A lot of the problems that people have with LDN just need an adjustment of the dose. I hope that this helps a little. Wishing you a lot of luck. Guest guest
procarin patch and LDN can be used together as they do different things. Have you tried stopping the LDN for a night or two to see if the problems stop? I think the side effects you cite are not common ones. Guest guest
hi all- I'm not on LDN - YET. I'm working on educating my neuro about it. I want to try it. I'm glad to be on this list so I can get a feeling of what kinds of things to expect. And so I know how to answer my neuro when he tells me he doesn't know enough about it to allow me to try. I want to ask- does weight have anything to do with these early side effects - the leg spasms? I'm on the lighter side. Man- I hope I can convince him this is a good thing. thanks- alex Original Message: ----------------- From: Marie Deady Mardea@... Guest guest
Hi ...good luck in your quest. I have heard it said that Dr. Bihari does not think that weight is an issue in regards to the dosage. I think it is a personal thing. Some start out low and work up. Pretty sure Dr. Bihari prescribes at 4.5 and works down if there is a sleep issue or spasticity after a certain length of time? Hope that helps. Joyce. From: " alumen@... " Reply-alumen@... low dose naltrexone Subject: Re: [low dose naltrexone] Just starting Date: Tue, 22 Jul 2003 11:15:00 -0400 hi all- I'm not on LDN - YET. Guest guest
Good for you Liz....you are doing the right thing, I think. the histamine could be the reason for some of the problems?? I have a free sample of it here from goodshapes and am afraid to start it. I'm doing well on the 3mg now....but went thru everything that you did. I have been on ldn for about 4 months now...and I am so glad that I didnt get off. It is a Godsend for me. I love it. Good luck to you and keep us informed of you progress. ~Sally > I've been taking LDN @ 3mg for 10 days now and if it hadn't been for > this forum I would be off it already. Guest guest
just fyi, I talked to the inventor of the procarin patch yesterday and she told me the goodshape histamine was not effective... I don't know why; also she said they had been sued for some infringement reason. She mentioned that histamine is very unstable to light and air and needs to be refrigerated and that IV histamine is dangerous. I'm thinking of doing the patch along with 4.5mg LDN I'm now doing. My goal is to walk normally. She claims she's had NO symptoms in 7 years on the patch. When she goes off it for a while, symptoms reappear in the reverse order they left her (iows: LIFO = last experienced, first re-experienced) On Tue, 22 Jul 2003, Sally wrote: > Good for you Liz....you are doing the right thing, I think. the > histamine could be the reason for some of the problems?? Guest guest
Thanks to everyone who has contacted me with encouragement and support. I am going to take a lower dose (1.5mg) of LDN until I'm used to it and then hopefully increase to 3mg. I really do want to give it a good go. As far as the patchless v procarin debate goes there is strong evidence that goodshapes patchless does work and I can definitely vouch for it. I keep my histamine in cool, dark conditions and it's fine. Procarin is extremely expensive whereas the patchless is not. However, you pays your money and takes your choice. Good luck to everyone doing all they can to improve their lot in whatever way they choose! Liz
