Guest guest
Hi Connie, How did you feel on the 3mg? Sometimes, more is not better.....Some people do well on the 4.5 and some do well on the 3mg....or maybe something inbetween. I, like you, started on the 3 and then in the 2nd month went to 4.5, had S.E you speak of, and went back to 3mg in 3rd month. I am doing ok on the 3mg now for 2months and no S E. I keep thinking, in the back of my mind, that I should try the 4.5 again. It is normal to think that if you are doing pretty good on 3, that maybe you would do even better on the 4.5......but I don't think it works that way with ldn.....I believe that there is a dose that works well for each of us, individually. The way I understand it is that LDN works with any doseage between 1.5mg up to 4.5mg, and each of us respond differently. Since my last big relapse into spms, I have had stronger reactions to a lot of meds, even a few allergic reactions, so lower doseages seem to work better for me. I know that Dr Bahari (Bless His Heart) tells his patients that 4.5mg is the " ideal " doseage....but he also reduces his patient's doseage, if they are having a bad reaction, and knows that it will also work! So, I suggest for us all to take the bull by the horns, and find the ldn doseage that makes us feel good...because, if it doesn't make us feel better, what's the point? Ldn will work for you, at your own personal doseage (somewhere between 1.5 and 4.5) Good luck to you Connie, and God Bless you all. ~Sally > Several months ago, I started with 4.5 mg. of LDN, went to 3.0 mg. and am > now back to 4.5 mg. Guest guest
when I first started LDN, Dr. Zagon (the researcher who discovered naltrexone) said to " take it in the morning, if you experience insomnia " . Has anyone tried this? I'm thinking I might try it to stay on the ideal 4.5mg while still getting a good nights sleep. Occasionally, it keeps me awake longer than I want to stay awake.
