Guest guest
I don't know about the rest of you, but I want to hear people's horror stories. Not that I want people to have horror stories, but IF they do, I want to hear about them! I am happy for everyone who is having good results with LDN. I feel bad for the people who aren't have great success, or having problems finding the right dose, or aren't getting results for whatever reason.. most of the time we don't know, if it's the LDN, or maybe something else we're doing that's battling the good effects. I would love to be able to tell people what to do, but I would hate to tell anyone what to do because I don't want that kind of responsibility, especially if I don't know the person personally and could be an observer. But I would like to know what others, who aren't having great results, are doing, eating, smoking, drinking, or not, in any of those categories. How much are you willing to experiment? How much do you know about your allergy and triggers? The one thing that comes to mind, if you're not having good results, are you a chocolate eater? Would you consider giving up chocolate/cocoa products 100% for a minimum of 6 weeks? I think that's a big factor, but that's just my opinion. It may just be me. I am confused about that since Feb/Mar when I went for allergy testing. I know I can trigger an exacerbation in 3 weeks or less, I know it because I've done it, many times. Who knew. Now I do. I know what I did. It all involves chocolate/cocoa. Another thing to consider is giving up caffeine for at least 5 weeks. Maybe not at the same time, maybe first. For 3 weeks you probably won't even notice, but then you may have 2 or 3 days of good bed rest! But after that, you may not miss it, and can handle a cup here and there. Those are just two easy things to eliminate that can't hurt, even if it doesn't seemingly help. As for going with your gut... well... I call it synchronicity, all the way. I ran into Steve in MSWatch Chat back in October, right in the middle of my walls leaking. I wasn't even going to be on the computer that night, had to take everything apart again so the wall fixers could come back AGAIN for another try at stopping the leaks. I never chatted with Steve before, and I was just about ready to X out the chat window, when he said something that caught my attention. My computers were down for 3 weeks, except for that weekend night. The how I researched it, who I talked to, how I went about it with my neuro, and even the timing of starting it in April is just pure synchronicity. I work 12-8am normally, and steady since last August, I just happened to be scheduled for 4/17-27 on a "normal day schedule". I got the LDN 4/15 and waited 2 days to start it, so I started it with 10 days in a row of 'normal hours' before going back to 12-8. And during that 10 day period I found out, thanks to this site, when I'm supposed to take the LDN. My question is even in the F_Q_A page. Faith, spirit, synchronicity, whatever you want to believe. I was guided somehow to LDN, and I believe a lot of people heard about LDN because of what it did for me. I know I pissed off a few people too, got banned from 2 CRAB paid-for sites, and it caused some other problems with some people that shocked me in their reactions. The last 32 days have been totally awesome. 3 camping trips, a trip to Atlantic City, Seaside Heights, and just last week Orient Point and New London Ct. I'm also planning another camping trip at the end of the month. I just don't know where the LDN comes into play with the events taking place.. is it just enabling me to do them, or is it also helping in other ways? I don't know... I'm skeptical about a lot of things. I don't know what drew me to LDN, but I am ever so thankful that it happened the way it did. 4/17 was also the ultimate day in which to start, for me, according to many sources including an astrologer and numerologist.... ya meet all kinds on the net. I'm also a child of the 60s and 70s... trying LDN was NOTHING compared to some of the things I've seen people eat like candy. That's what caught my attention. I tried to measure 3 or 4.5 MG in my mind... I think I breathe in more than that in 'bad air' and I'm sure I eat more than that in the foods I get out, or even while sleeping, who knows. People also try to say "well, if they claim they can help with a whole LOT of other diseases, then it must be a scam"... but that caught my attention to. I said NEAT! If I was ever gonna get prostate cancer in 10 or 20 years, maybe NOW I won't! Or any of those other diseases. What people fail to see is the link among all of them, they're all AI diseases... the root cause of all of them may be the same, but each biological body handles it different based on environment, genetics and habit. Someone tried to throw the patent in my face. I thought that was great! I didn't know there was a patent! I thanked him. He got pissed. I want to hear all criticisms here, why not. But, as I said, even if it kills me in 5 years... if the next 4 years and 9 months is like the last 3 months, I'd rather have 5 years of THIS, than 40 years of the year prior to 4/17. Now, another 40 years of THIS... WOW! I said last year before I ever heard of LDN and was NOT going to do any CRABs, that if I am successful in what I do, in 20 years I'll write a book... and if I'm NOT, then in 20 years I probably wouldn't even be able to write, so it won't matter. 4 months ago my future looked bad. I don't know what my future is going to be now, either.. but my present, and the last 3 months, have been AWESOME. Not too many thank goodness,as you can see out of hundred's he is about the only one with that opinion. We need doubting ' too, they drive us even further However the truth of the matter is, that it was everyday people with real life stories and testimonials, such as us that are the real test. These are the people you can talk to as well as the people not making money. I agree with one of the statements, in which someone said you need to go with your gut. It is a gift from another human when they can share and relate stories of truth and accomplishment and not make a cent. This is a board of caring, suffering, determined people who all understand the need to communicate the things which work. Don't worry about Jeff and his feeling for the need of proof. Many herbs, drugs and discoveries which have healing abilities are sitting on a shelf unknown of their powers, because of those doubting '. Please don't be too rough on Jeff, he is doing a pretty good job on himself, by not being open. ~Janice ~
Guest guest
Hi Larry. Do you really think that giving up chocolate would help me to have better results with LDN?? I have heard that chocolate is good for you....don't know why...lol....but I jumped on it, cause I loves chocolate.....but I would give it up in a second (well maybe a minute) if I thought that it was the culprit. I would love to have the same experience with LDN that some of you have been talking about. Actually I did, in the beginning, but the bottom seemed to have dropped out.....now after 4 months on LDN, I am stiff and sore and wobbly again. I have been like a yoyo, trying to adjust to the proper dose for me, to no avail, as yet. I have blamed everything except the LDN....weather, stress (my daughter may have ms, her neuro thinks so, and he is an ms specialist)but I never thought chocolate....please tell me more....and is there a site I can go to, to find out more about allergy triggers. Thanks, Sally " LarryGC " <larrygc@s...> wrote: > I don't know about the rest of you, but I want to hear people's horror stories. > > The one thing that comes to mind, if you're not having good results, are you a chocolate eater?
