Guest guest
First you have to find a doctor that will give you a prescription. Then you need to have a compounding pharmacy fill it. The following pharmacy is listed on the LDN site as a recommended pharmacy: 's Pharmacy, Toronto, Canada (800) 361-6624 It is important to use a recommended pharmacy. Some pharmacy improperly prepare the LDN, either poor mixing, wrong filler etc. The best of luck and good health to you, Original Message: ----------------- From: Steve Parkinson sparkins@... I really like what I've been hearing about LDN. I was wondering if anyone in Canada is taking LDN, if so how you went about getting it and where you get it from? I'd really appreciate this info, it would open up a new treatment option that sounds promising. Guest guest
Hi Steve Glad you found LDN. I'm in the UK so I can't answer your question directly. I expect someone here will be able to though. If not, one of the listed pharmacys on the LDN website is in Canada. Perhaps you could call them up and find out some more information. http://www.low dose naltrexone.org/index.htm#pharmlist Good luck! Guest guest
Hi, all, On the subject of compounders, for folks in the Washington, D.C. area, my wife and I found a compounder and get our LDN from a pharmacy called The Apothecary in Bethesda, land. Ironically, it's right up the street from the National Institutes of Health and Bethesda Navy Medical Center, where many of our presidents get their checkups. My wife, who has MS, subscribes to Dr. Christiane Northrup's HEALTH WISDOM FOR WOMEN. Dr. Northrup is such an unbelievable person that I find myself reading some of these issues myself - particularly the ones dealing with emotions, the mind/body connection, energy, etc. Her web site and taped phone messages are informative and inspirational. In the August, 2003 edition, which has a terrific article on Healing Through the Dark Emotions, she lists as a resource the INTERNATIONAL ACADEMY OF COMPOUNDING PHARMACISTS. The phone number is 1-800-927-4227. This may be a resource for people coming onto this board looking for help in getting prescriptions filled. I thought it was worth posting because I have been watching this board for many months (posted a few times as well) and have noticed that the number of posts has risen from single digits in October-November, 2002, to nearly 500 last month.
