Thank you all for your wonderful support and ideas.  (lol...Joyce, I understood what you meant when you said wonderful mother.

My mother just came down from MI where she lived alone with only 2 aides coming in each day.  She had a bad spell where she folded over between her legs and wasn't found until 14 hours later.  That scared her, so she finally agreed to come to FL where I am as well as my sister.  I had offered to move home for her or what ever I had to do.  She is very stubborn and said she didn't want me there.  So......she came to us after a hospital stay and is in the nursing home for "rehab" which will most likely turn into long term stay.  I don't want that and I cannot stand to see her there.  I had her at my house for a week and it was definitely a full time job.  I have two little ones, so it was a little harder with them around.

I am trying to look at this as a way for her to perhaps gain some strength, maybe put on a little weight (she's 89 lbs) and be taken care of better than she was before.  I am hoping to bring her back to my house with the help of some home health aides.  I will see how it goes.  Breaks my heart literally.

I will look into calling Dr. Bihari to see if he can help me.  I don't have much money, but I will do what it takes to help.  Also, my sister will be in NY for travel in a couple of weeks, if I can get a Rx by then, she can fill it at one of the pharmacies there that the site recommends.

Yes, I wish she could have tried LDN long ago, or any other of the supplements that have shown good results.  Unfortunately, she wasn't aware of her options and her doc's in MI didn't let her know.    A few of them said there was nothing else they could do for her......how's that for uplifting advice???

Well, didn't mean to go on and on.....just wanted those of you who responded to know that your comments are very much appreciated and encouraging.  I know there are no guarantees, but I have to try everything I can to help my Mom.

Thanks, again,

Angie in FL

Hi Angie,

My heart goes out to you and your Mom. Hoping for the best. If you talkto Dr. Bihari (212-929-4196), he will probably prescribe your rx at Irmat pharmacy and they will ship it to you by regular mail (no charge). Also if you have limited funds, I heard that Dr. Sullivan is much cheaper and can prescribe LDN. His phone number is 717-697-5050.

God Bless the both of you.

Marie
