Al , that was an interesting thought. I don't know where you live but our LI chapter has a special fund for the Swim classes given to us for free at various area pools. I am sure all chapters have special funds that directly benefit the PEOPLE. My daughter is trying to set up a fund for special occasions to have hair and makeup done for those who cannot do it themselves or do not have the means. We are having a difficult time getting help from the MS society on "how to" start it but we will keep on it. I am sure your local chapter has some special area close to your heart that directly benefits your wife and others. Let us know how you made out. Kiki

HI Allan..oh boy. So funny that you should bring this up because I too used

to contribute whenever I'd get those envelopes. I stopped doing that since

knowing what I know about all this stuff. Glad I'm not alone in my thoughts

about how I just don't want my money supporting that stuff. I just throw out

the envelopes now. Joyce.

Question for our MSers. Since my wife's diagnosis, we have both been

regular and generous contributors to the National MS Society. Considering

all the written stuff we get from them, the direction of most of the MS

research (big pharma looking for more big money drugs that may or may not

help the patient but will increase the bottom line), and the damage that two

of the CRABs have already done to her, when I got my bi-monthly NMSS pledge

request today in the mail, I just filed it away. I'm wondering if there

isn't a better place to put our money. I don't feel the usual good feeling

I used to have when I sent in a check. Maybe it's just me, but instead of

feeling like this organization is " us, " I'm feeling more and more like it's

" them. " So I'm asking, do I have a problem here, or is there a better place

for our MS-intended contributions? Thanks! -Al " If you don't stand for

great questions. If accomodation (tachyphylaxis) does happen & gt; with

poisons, or LDN, could it also happen with the

interferons?

Check out www.bostoncurg.org for a good organization with the cure in mind.

Allan

Too true. Haven't seen much help from them either. Been a few years.

I started up a deaf school at home for very poor kids from Pakistan who

sleep on the roads. Sounds to me like your wasting your money going

towards MS society they have always been way behind of things that help

and not too open minded with things that they knew could be true.

How are you and your wife feeling. You post sounded so down. Hope your

feeling better both of you.
