Guest guest
Hi folks, well day 24 and still going strong, I LOVE this stuff. My brother and his wife had another baby last monday and for the first time in a very long time I could actually look after thier kids for them while they were away. It just feels so great to be able to plan ahead now, and KNOW that I'm going to feel good enough to commit to something. It was a crazy couple of days chasing around 3 kids (not used to that anymore) and at the same time working in my garden and painting rooms in my house. I KNOW this would not be possible without ldn, I just can't say enough about it, but I guess you guys know all about it!! I have a question tho........how long is it recommended to be off of Rebiff before starting ldn? I was off for a month so I really don't know what the minimum time required is. I have a friend that wants to try it out, but she's scared to go off of her rebif for very long. She has had 5 attacks (bad ones) in the last year, and if.....just IF the rebif is helping somewhat she's scared to be off of it very long. I have the feeling that she'll have her ldn script within a day or two, but just wondering how long she should stop taking rebif first. She can't wait to go off the rebif, but at the same time she's scared of having another attack, and I really don't blame her. I know you guys will know the answer to this. Seems to me I remember reading somewhere somthing about being off the injections for 10 days before starting ldn, but I can't find where I read that. Thanks guys Kerry
Guest guest
I second that Kerry.....I think that you might be referring to the Opads.....You have to be off those for several days before taking LDN. ~Sally

In addition, LDN should probably not be taken during pregnancy. > A person has to be off narcotic based drugs a lot more than a few days. I tought it was out of my system and started and got the worse night mare of my life. Though my doctor thought a few days was enough. It turns out now 10-14 days should be given. A liver test can be done or skin test to see if Naltrexone can be started. Or if you still have some residue of narcotics in your liver. Trust me you would want to take care if you are taking any of these medicines. My daughter found out from poison control, it can be fatal and had to call an ambulance for me. No one in the hospital knew what to do and gave me morphine which made it worse. I finally found my solutions through my daughter researching the net. But DO NOT TAKE LDN if you are on any kind of OPIOID AGONIST / NARCOTIC medicine.
