Guest guest
Dr. Bihari told me the one thing his wife hates about the LDN is that she must dye her hair more often because it grows so fast. So I guess the nails go with the hair. I have noticed it but was aware because of what he had said. Another good thing for us. Kiki
Guest guest
I was wondering the same thing. My nails seem different, but I'm not really sure. ----- Original Message ----- From: Marie Deady low dose naltrexone Sent: Friday, August 01, 2003 17:17 Subject: [low dose naltrexone] Hair Nails and LDN Has anyone noticed a difference in their hair and nails since going on LDN? My hair usually has no body and now it is full of body and control. And my nails use to grow just a little and start to split. Now it doesn't. Guest guest
If this is a side effect then I like it. I have never had strong nails but all of a sudden they have grown enough for me to paint them. Can't say I have noticed much difference with my hair so far but then that probably wouldn't be so obvious - hopefully it will come in time. Guest guest
Hi Kiki; No wonder my hair is growing like wild fire! I just thought is the summer time, when my hair always grows extremely fast, and always has! Yes, I do take cal/mag at night. I just got my order old cal/mag today. 2 in am & 2 at pm. We'll see how this works! I used to take it all at night, but stomach has been a little sensitive lately, so split between am & pm! LDN not holdling my nerves all the way! Too much stress!! One foot forward, & 4 back. This too will pass!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am going up to 4.0 mg tonight. I am anxious to see any difference. I'll keep you posted. Sharing a smile with all of you. We just have to keep on keeping on together. LDN is stilll ok in my book! Warm regards, Cyd -----Original Message-----From: noclue915@... Guest guest
Hi Sue; Maybe I won't have my nails "done" anymore. Maybe they will grow strong by themselves! That would be great. We'll see! Regards to all. Guest guest
It's funny that I should get this e-mail this morning. Just this weekend, I noticed how my hair seems to have more body. I had lost so much of it when I was on chemo (novantrone). It's finally grown back in and now looks better than it has in a while, and as I said, I've notice it more so over the past few weeks especially this past weekend. My nails are a disaster - I have to wear articificial nails because mine are basically nonexistant - but I'll keep checking them to see if I notice any improvement. I wonder how and why LDN would effect hair and nails? -----Original Message-----From: Marie Deady [mailto:Mardea@...]Sent: Friday, August 01, 2003 5:17 PMlow dose naltrexone Subject: [low dose naltrexone] Hair Nails and LDN Has anyone noticed a difference in their hair and nails since going on LDN? Guest guest
I would say that by LDN bringing your immune system back to normalcy that you are actually healthier. By being healthier you hair and nails are healthier too. that is my two cents worth.
