Food intolerence

An MS magazine in the UK ran an article that suggested having a food intolerence test. It was quite expensive (£112 sterling) but the results were quite interesting. It would seem that I have a high intolerence to cow's milk, wheat and yeast and also pineapple and brazil nuts although to a lesser degree. I can't say I have noticed much difference even though I have been trying very hard to eliminate these ingrediants from my diet for the past year. Supermarkets now seem to stock a fairly broad range of "Free From..." products but they tend to be sooo expensive. Yet another captive market I guess! The main upside I found was losing a bit of weight - yippee!!!!

I have been avoiding chocolate (with great difficulty) because of the dairy content - I wasn't aware that cocoa was a problem so thanks for pointing that out. I have also been avoiding caffeine and I do find that I sleep better - it is particularly noticeable if I am out and decaf is not available - I always have a restless night.

I took bee pollen capsules for a year but again no improvement. I tried Chinese herbal medicine and drank a disguting mix of leaves, bark, twigs - you name it, it was in there. The doctor was so convinced that it would help that I kept it up for about 8 months - again no improvement.

LDN is the only thing that has given me tangible proof that it is doing something albeit in my case very slowly.

Regards to all,

Sue

Again thank you Sue for post....This is the kind of info that is

really helpful. We Msers are so desparate (including me) for any

help we can get, that sometimes we swallow all the hype that's out

there. The truth is, that nutrician is important in everyone life,

and our's especially, sinse we seem to be deficient in many things.

I believe, if we just use our common sense, and eat right, take a

few good suppliments and even some good herbs and oils. and avoid

the things we know are bad for us, then we will be healthy wealthy

and wise. and most importantly, let LDN o it's job. STOP THE

PROGRESSION.

Love to all, Sally
