Guest guest
I know that a lot of you have food allergies. I have a lot but two that really bother me are peanuts and sugar. I need to find a substitute for peanut butter. Does anyone know of something that can be eaten that is close to peanut butter without the peanuts and sugar. Actually any kind of spread. I bought a jar of soy butter. That is gross. I miss my peanut butter. Help Marie
Guest guest
Marie- You have to try ALMOND BUTTER. It is delicious and better for you. You'll probably have to go to a health food store to get it, but well worth the trip!! Hope you like it. Marie Deady wrote: I know that a lot of you have food allergies. Guest guest
Warren thanks for that last fact filled post. What do you mean by the statement below? For example when my eating of brazil nuts resulted in skin problems (hives, itching) on 10/5/2003 9:01 PM, Warren at warren.taylor@... wrote: > And note this > ... skin allergy is not a food allergy -- different. Guest guest
well, i too am doing just fabulous - just the minor matter of not being able to breathe easily and the happiness that comes from having a poor night's sleep on account of asthma:) I am relatively new to the group, and will be taking my second shot of xolair this friday. The first shot was quite an anti climax. All that research, decision making et al. And the actual shot process was just a couple of minutes, one shot in each arm, and I was done. Not that I am complaining, but in looking back I couldn't help but laugh hopefully i'll be able to laugh some more as and when xolair magic starts working for me some day:) hope you all had a great easter. niti san francisco --- In , " musiclover0 " <musiclover0@...> wrote: > > hey everyone! how are you guys doing? well, i woke up today with my > eyes swollen, peak flows down, and a cough. great huh? lol. well, my > goal is to stay away from prednisone. on sunday i will be outside all > day w/ my family because of easter. but the allergies are terrible. > plus it is supposed to rain all weekend.well, enough of my > complaining. lol. Guest guest
I think Doug didn't really start seeing improvement until the year mark. Hang in there, everybody! Addy > > Hi niti et al., > > I too am not doing fabulous. And I agree the whole shot was a bit of a letdown. But I had a Xolair Party afterwards with my classmates who cheered for me (and then we got drunk !!!) so that made up for it. > > I have been on for a year almost (my anniversary is April 22) and while things are BETTER they are far from amazing. Guest guest
Thanks for the encouragement Addy. I am currently coughing up crud I could putty my bathroom with so the idea that there is still room for improvement helps me keep my morale up. 8mg of evil candy and counting....
