Guest guest
I think that Rebif and LDN cancel each other out. Go to the Low Dose Naltraxone site and read about the ABCR drugs. I think the only one you can take is Copaxone. I haven't read the information on that site for awhile but I think that is what it says. I hope LDN helps you. Guest guest
If rebif can cause suicidal tendencies, do the other interferons do that, too? Rebif and avonex are beta-1a and beta seron is beta-1b, and I have absolutely no idea how different they are from each other because I gave up on beta seron such a long time ago. The main thing I knew was that the side effects of the interferon were completely unacceptable to me. I have never been suicidal in my life, but the interferon side effects just got to be too much for me. I do know that Beta Seron causes depression just like Rebif and Avonex, and anytime a drug causes depression, there is the possibility of suicidal tendencies, and it must be labeled as such. Our very first MS specializing neuro was a big Beta Seron pusher, and even he was hesitant to put my son on it at his age because of the depression factor, so he chose Avonex instead, even though he didn't normally prescribe it at all. As for Copaxone, I can't answer that. It is a different class drug, and I do know several people using it, and the majority suffer with depression and are being treated for it. The sad part is that although we researched before starting my son on Avonex and Rebif and KNEW that it caused depression, our neuro kept blaming the depression on the disease (MS) itself rather than the treatment. I suppose we more or less proved him wrong when the depression lifted immediately upon starting the LDN, but we never saw him again to shove the point home! My son had mild depression on Avonex, but it escalated to a very scary point on Rebif. Of course, with Rebif being 3 times the strength of Avonex, that is fairly self explanatory. Hope this helps! Guest guest
, Crystal angel has a website that you should stay in touch with. She seems to gather a lot of info on these meds. Theeeeee most important thing to realize is that Rebif and Avonex can harm the liver, and it hasn't been studied on youth, aaaand there are NO long term studies done on ANY of the C.R.A.B. drugs. My personal feeling (and yes I would do the same thing if it were my child)is to stay away from those drugs.....far, far away. Go see a naturopathic doctor....they help a lot more than people give them credit for. 2 --- Wallace <jrwallace96@...> wrote: --------------------------------- Can anyone tell me any stories about rebif and its effects? Guest guest
I 3rd that! Now that I know LDN exists, I would recommend people start with LDN 1st.
