Guest guest
Hi there Tom, Welcome to the group! Sorry to hear about your youngest sister, it must be very difficult for your family to cope with the possibility of losing someone so young. Here's a mini intro to me so we aren't strangers. I'm South African, 26 years old, married and live in Mauritius (an island in the Indian Ocean) with my husband, who is Mauritian (of French descent) and our 16 dogs (they are hunting dogs, he hunts deer and wild boar.) no kids yet but trying! I work full time in an offshore investment bank, and love my job! I was diagnosed with RA about a year ago and take prednisone and celebrex which control the pain very well. You must be really looking forward to your retirement. You really must find a good doctor who will help you with the pain and let you enjoy it. Hope you don't mind me asking but what is a Polar Bear Club member? I'm sure you'll enjoy it here in the group, it's a great place for support and information. Have a great day! Guest guest
Tom, My sentiments exactly, only you succinctly managed to express yourself more politely than I would have done. I have never had a nice neuro. One of them once said to me 'Do you really want to spend £500 of NHS money so YOU can have an MRI scan? On wanting diagnosis. I obviously wasn't worthy and didn't get my MRI for another five years from a diferent hospital. This is why i'm anti orthodox in every repect, Anyway I'm sure everyone has tales like that. Thankyou Tom I've been meaning to try ginko for a while and I'll think about the Chinese herb. There is a Chinese herb " Congrong Huanshao " that has been used for cognitive problems quite successfully for several thousand years. It is a little expensive about $18.00 for 60 capsules. Suggested dosage 3 capsules 3X a day. You can get it from Health King Enterprise & Balanceuticals Group, Inc. 238 W. 31st, Chicago, Il. 60616 ( 312) 567-9978. You might also try " Ginkgo Biloba " The Cranberry Extract is for the kidneys and urinary function. " Jarrow " is simply the brand name. Guest guest
Tom, Interesting that we both started CS about the same time. I've been taking small doses because the commercially made stuff is so expensive, but tonight I'm going to order a generator to make it at home, and a device to measure the purity of the distilled water one " brews " CS in. According to Delise and Nadine Wooley, it takes about 16-32 ounces a day to make a big difference with MS. Improvement can be almost immediate (with " can " the operative word), but it takes a year or two to reverse symptoms, it it's going to happen. I've been researching alternatives too long to disregard the fact that different things work for different people. I hadn't read about CS in relation to leaky gut, but considering that it kills not only bacteria and viruses, I'm going for it. I " m most interested in covering the EBV base. Oh yeah . . . I'm acquainted with a woman who reversed her symptoms, except for a weak leg, in two years with raw diet and CS. I have the diet covered . . . now for the CS. Best of luck and keep experimenting . . . what have we got to lose? Martha
Guest guest
Hi Martha, It has only been about two weeks but there does seem to be improvement with leg strength. I hope it is not wishful thinking and I don't think it is. My legs are more reliable the last 7-10 days. I bought 6 bottles, 4 oz., 1100ppm for $161.00 from International Pharmaceuticals, 1825 Main St., Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada R2V 2A4. I wanted to be sure of quality. My blood tests showed high numbers of Candida. I take one teaspoon under the tongue every morning. Regards, Tom P. S. Guest guest
Tom, Someone on the CS forum told me about http://silvermedicine.org/, the best source for unbiased CS info. On it they recommend Sovereign Silver as being the best of the commercially made brands--smallest particle size. At http://www.drnatura.com/8845.php I ordered two 8-oz. bottles for $52.46. You can get four for $104.92. After going through the two bottles in a week, I ordered a Silvergen SG6 generator this morning with a meter to test the purity of the distilled water the CS is brewed in, and fluid to calibrate the meter. It'll be a little work, but much cheaper. I'm committed to doing this as long as it takes. I'll let you know when I'm hiking again. :-) Martha
Guest guest
Hi Martha, Thank you. That seems like a lot of CS to go through in a week. I take one teaspoon of 1200 ppm a day under my tongue and am still on my first 4 oz. bottle. I'll be right behind you with a backpack! Guest guest
Hi Marie, I hope you are doing well, I think you are, I'm doing fine. Yes, I started taking CS about 3 weeks ago. I had high readings of Candida and that will cause or has caused "Leaky Gut" . The CS will hopefully aid to reduce those readings. I get 1100ppm from: International Pharmaceuticals 1825 Main St. Winnipeg,Manitoba, Canada, R2V 2A4 1-800-877-5097 Regards, Tom ----- Original Message ----- From: Marie Deady low dose naltrexone Sent: Sunday, August 22, 2004 5:06 PM Subject: Re: [low dose naltrexone] Re: Tom Hi Tom, Did I read that you take colooidal silver under your tougue? Guest guest
Thanks Tom< I appreciate that. I am doing fine with the MS but I have been having problems with my stomach lately. Actually it is a little better this week. But for the last two weeks, everything that I ate would bother me even the mildest things. I feel bloated and full after the first bite. I was also having some pain in my stomach. I tried to call my gastrointestinal doctor last week but he was on vacation . Today they were moving to a new office so I will call tomorrow. Can I ask who found out that you have high readings of candida and how did they find out? Maybe that is my problem/. I am glad that you survived the hurricane. Guest guest
Hi Marie, Up in Cape Cod I was seeing an alternative M.D. She did an "" blood test that revealed the Candida. She also advised the CS and to use Coconut oil to kill the unfriendly bacteria in the digestive system. Guest guest
Thanks Tom, I will see if my doctor will give me an blood test. But in the meantime, I don't see any reason why I shouldn't get on the CS and the coconut oil just in case. Actually from what I am reading, a lot of people are on the CS daily. You don't see any problems with being on the CS daily do you? Thanks again for your help.
