Guest guest
*****he has/knows our cell phone numbers to call. He does *****so for the tiniest little thing, and it's probably *****just his way of " checking in " when he gets *****overwhelmed. My Beth, now 17 (as/bipolar/social anxiety), loves being able to contact me wherever I am. I lead a busy life so it's a safety net for her...knowing all she has to do to hear my voice is call. And sometimes she calls about the silliest little things, at very unconvenient times for me, but I give her the time as much as I can, knowing that it is most like a calming tool for her, just to talk for a minute. maralee
Guest guest
Maralee, NTs aren't so different. My dd didn't call at all while she was a freshman or sophomore in college. NOW that she is 23 and living on her own, she calls ALL THE TIME - on her lunch break, while cooking dinner, while grocery shopping (which cut of meat is better for xy or z, how do I do such and such in the kitchen, or just plain " I'm ticked off and I need to vent. " She has also met some people her own age to vent to, but we're convenient because we're three hours behind her, so she can call us later and not worry about waking us up! Just a note about older children... Liz On Jan 22, 2006, at 11:54 AM, ~~Maralee~~ wrote: > > *****he has/knows our cell phone numbers to call.
