Guest guest
Beth, My symptom feels like there is pressure on the right side, just directly under the rib cage. At times, it becomes very uncomfortable to sit down for any length of time and I can not lay on my back while sleeping. My wife had her gallbladder out last year and she says she had the same symptoms as I am having. Her gallbladder was rotten and she had polyps in her intestine removed at the same time. She went through hell with that surgery and that is why I am trying the flushes first. Both of us were on the Atkins diet for quite a while and we feel, after doing some research, this diet is part of the problem, we are now facing, a few years later, no matter what people say about it. I also went on a grapefruit pectin kick for a while. On a molecular level, Fat molecules will " stick " to pectin and not be allowed to pass thru the liver (or something like that). With out a doubt, in my case, it reduced my bad cholesterol by 27 % as could be seen in two different blood tests. I do not know what this sort of thing does to the body....it is not a natural thing to ingest....so long term probably does more harm than good! So Now, we are on the Coral Calcium kick! The science, as it is explained, seems to make sense! Sorry for going off on a tangent! Try the flushes....was not bad at all and do the parasite cleanse prior. Like was told to me...if it does not help...at least it gives you a good cleaning out! I had very little nausea on my first flush....and I think I can thank myself for listening to what people were telling me that had gone thru it prior! DO the prep work!!! The Epsom salts drink is the nastiest part of the whole deal, IMHO, but I looked at (at each drink that is) " it's only 3/4 of a cup, " held my breath and gulped it down. MY instructions were to drink it cold...from the fridge. I think that makes the taste worse and I'll do it at room temp next time. ----- Original Message ----- From: <marinershoney01@...> <gallstones > Sent: Sunday, March 02, 2003 12:23 PM Subject: Symptoms > Hello, > I have had Dr.'s for the past 9 years run tests and tell me that my > symptoms are those of gall bladder. Guest guest
Beth, Though symptoms on that side could be related to something like inflammation in the colon on that side, of inflamed kidney on that side, it is more than likely gallbladder. Let us know how your ultrasound goes. If it is your gallbladder, you will notice symptoms especially if you eat oily foods, dairy like cheese, eggs, fried foods, fatty meats, etc. Usually within 1-3 hours of eating those foods. L. Guest guest
Hi Beth, I have had gall bladder trouble now for 6 years that I know for sure and several years before that , that I believe. My symptoms have been aggravating pain on the right side from the rib cage going back to the right shoulder blade. I have had constant diarrhea, with-in 20 minutes of eating, didn't matter what I ate. Most of the time with only intermittent constipation. The area under my rib cage is tender and bothers me when pressure is put on it (many years). My attacks seemed to always show up almost 8 hours after eating and the doctors would laugh at me and say really when was the last time you ate. They were thinking it should be with-in an hour or so. This would be when a stone would be stuck in the bile duct and need help passing ( yah demerol! ). It starts out with a feeling of heart burn. I think this is when the gallbladder is dumping bile and it likely is burning the esophagus or the top of the stomach. After an especially bad attack I had an x-ray done which confirmed that my esophagus was burned during this episode. This time the Dr's took several hours longer to medicate me and they use morphine instead of demerol, which I don't react to well so it never helped my attack at all. So of course, the dr prescribed zantac [yah! we are really get better now ; ) ] Glenda > > Hello, > > I have had Dr.'s for the past 9 years run tests and tell me that my > > symptoms are those of gall bladder. Guest guest
Oh yes, the pressure! I had the worst night of my life last night. I could not sleep because of the pressure I tossed and turned. I own a business in a mall, and must sit at my kiosk all day, talk about uncomfortable. I am very terrified of the flush but I am at the point now to where the pain is very apparant and I need some relief. Is there any chance of a stone getting stuck on it's way out? Thank you all so much for the help. I did not want my Dr. to lead me in to something blindly. Guest guest
Thanks . I am having that problem. Luckily my Dr. gave me medication to curb the diarehea, however it doesn't help any with the pain after I eat the 'wrong' things. In my lunch box today is raw veggies and fruits only! Guest guest
Has anyone experience the symptoms of twitching throughout the body and a " buzzing " sensation in your arms and shoulders? Will LDN reduce these symptoms? I am in limbo land without any Dx and with LDN's wide range of diseases that it helps, I was considering trying LDN. Thank you in advance. Guest guest
You describe symptoms that many people with MS have. LDN may very well be of benefit to you if it is MS or something similar that is autoimmune based. From my understanding of LDN it won't do any harm if you take it do not need it.
