I believe the color has to do with the filler they use. Irmat asked me if I was allergic to milk or lactose because they use a certain filler with the LDN>All should ask their pharmacy what is used with their capsule.

Mine, both 3 mg and 4.5 capsules look alike - they contain white fine powder - not a distinct odor. I get mine from Irmat pharmacy in New York. I'm not sure what to suggest to you except that you might want to check with Dr. Bihari (off the website) to see what he thinks. On the website, a new article discusses problems with some compounding pharmacies.

I'll be interested in hearing what others have to say about the appearance and smell of the content of their capsules.
