Does letting go ever get easier?

I am sitting here trying to fill out a release form

for a snow camp our youth group is going on in Feb. On

it, it has a place that reads: List any activities to

be restricted or any physical or mental limitations we

should be aware of:

I am not sure how to answer it. I never know how

's going to react. It's a new place. He's never

been to it. But he's been plenty of other places

lately and has done fine. He went to a Planet Wisdom

conference last March in DC. Stayed overnight. NO

problems. He had a blast! He went with the group

(without the youth pastor-whose wife was about to have

a baby), on an 8-hour ride (in a bus) to Ohio this

summer for 3 days. They went and swam in a lake (he

wasn't thrilled about that, but did manage to

eventually get in!), and then went to Cedar Point

Amusement park and had a ball! No problems again.

He went to a youth conference in burg, VA in

Aug. and spent the night there and went to the

conference plus they stayed at the Great Wolfe Lodge

that has an indoor waterpark. He had no problems with

that one.

Now he's headed to the Teen Quest Ranch for snow camp

in PA. I am sure they get to choose their own

activities, as there are many to choose from. He is

not thrilled about horse-back riding (which he saw

listed on the release form), but I'm sure he doesn't

have to do it if he doesn't want to.

But I am never sure how he might react to things.

Especially regarding his anxiety. He's done well on

the other things, but this release form causes me to

stop and wonder just what I should put on there. He

could be anxious over trying new things and not want

to participate in things. But then again, he may not.

He doesn't like touching certain things, but I don't

know that it was a problem before, and he managed to

get through the other places he went.

So, I just can't sign this release form and be done

with it. I have to state his meds, why he's on it.

What kind of allergies or ailments (including behavior

disorders) need to be listed as well. And now I have

to come up with something to write under that

catagory. Does it ever get easier in letting them go

places without all the mind games before as to what

could/might happen?
