Guest guest
Whenever my daughter doesn't like something that I have told her or whenever she gets frustrated she makes this loud what I call grunt. She's 4, 5 in October, and PDD-NOD but I think autistic. I'm wondering if this is the same as shrieking only " different " if that makes any sense LOL If it is the same, would the same suggestions as for the shrieking work? Looking forward to some help... Thanks! =^..^= Marie Make some easy money, the fun way! http://www.be-paid.com/pages/index.php?refid=surveys4bmh http://www.cassandrasclicks.com/pages/index.php?refid=surveys4bmh I HAVE been paid by both! Guest guest
Where she is so young, I imagine it is hard to decide what, if anything, should be done., It will be interesting to hear responses for you. I can say that she is such a little thing,,, hmmmm,, Maybe talking about the noise, " what is that? " " Are you angry? " " Are you upset? " Maybe having her become aware of what she is doing, too, and then giving her some other behavior to try to replace the loud noise might help. Then again, maybe she doesn't have that control. As long as it isn't treated in a negative way, I don't think that talking about what that noise is she makes, and seeing if she will decide eventually to do something different might be good?! Worth a try perhaps? *smiles* lisa B > > Whenever my daughter doesn't like something that I have told her or > whenever she gets frustrated she makes this loud what I call grunt. > She's 4, 5 in October, and PDD-NOD but I think autistic. Guest guest
When my now 15 yr son was in 3rd grade he would get so frustrated with his teacher that he would growl at her? I think he didn't know what to say so he just growled like a bear. Funny now--not then.
