Guest guest
-Marie Thanks! I'm up to about 75% recover. The GB surgery was one week ago today. e helped me thru the recovery pains with some great advice. Wrote me every day. It really helped. one thing she told me to do was WALK. So this morning my neighbor, dog & I walked 1/2 mile straight thru. I'll walk this afternoon at Lowes (Hardware Warehouse) because the heat & air quality is so bad past 10 am here. Yesterday we did about a1/2 mile inside Walmart. I felt so good when I came home. Lots of energ & even had an appetite. I didn't have any appetite until yesterday. I'm coming along though. Thanks for writing.
Guest guest
, The other thing you can do is walk in your local mall. You've seen those "mall-walkers." That way you can walk and get the exercise, but don't have to be outside in the heat, as I know in MO it is hot and humid. e ----- Original Message ----- From: shihtzusrock@... Guest guest
Muscle atrophy involves loss of strength and bulk. You waste. Loss of balance can be induced by heat. Bicycles go on roads which are *very* dangerous places. BE CAREFUL! I fell off my bike last time I rode. If it had been around a moving car I probably would have died. PLEASE BE CAREFUL! The lactose filler involves a biochemical which comes from cow's milk, is involved in the pain you feel if you don't stretch enough before and after exercise, and may hurt atrophied muscles. I repeat, if the blind are leading the blind, who's going to keep them from falling off bridges? -Sullivan > If anybody has received these messages I keep losing can they > please post them to the group? Guest guest
Hi I'm talking about a pedal pusher on the floor , in the house....I wouldn't think of riding a bike in the street, right now...lol. The last time I was on a bike myoveheated nerves would not conduct and by the end of the ride I coulddo the more conditioned move of cycling around and around but not theone of putting my feet down, as it involves a sudden amount of control and quick movement. Plus I had very bad balance after 25min. of exercise. I fell over sideways as soon as I had made acomplete stop, feet still on the pedals. If I had been on the road, schmuck! Guest guest
Not necessarily, If the blind leading the blind use their common sense, and are careful feeling their way. Guest guest
Hi Chris- I'm well aware of hurting atropied muscles- I did it already when I had my physical therapist. It left a horrible bruise 3 inches wide and 5 inches long on the inside of my right leg. I learned to stretch slowly and not to push too hard. Heat doesn't seem to bother me *as much* as it apparently bothers others. Here's one of those " everyone's MS is slightly different. " And I didn't mean a real bike- I meant a stationary exercise bike. I wouldn't trust myself out on the road - my face is allergic to pavement (j/k). As for bridges? I love bridges. One of my favorite masterpiece- 60 " x 36 " pointillism- called .... " The Bridge " 1991. http://alexlumen.com/images/p_bridgepainting.jpg I'm always careful- being alive puts everyone at risk no matter what we try. Makes me think all we can really do is to try not to die painfully on purpose and not to take others out with us when we do. Maybe instead of trying to be careful how not to die- I need to be careful about how to live? What a paradox. cheers- alex (checking the " send to: " before I send... ) > > > ----- Original Message ----- > > > From: alpha light > > > Sally > > > Sent: Monday, September 15, 2003 11:46 AM > > > Subject: Re: stiffness > > > > > > > > > Hi Sally- > > > et al- > > > > > > I keep thinking... Guest guest
That particular one I don't have prints made- not sure if I can get any made. I'll have to talk to my friend who has the printer. Also, that painting is not rreally for sale. I did have it appraised(by a professional) 12 years ago at $15,000. If you consider it took me 2 years to paint it (remember it's 3 feet by 5 feet- doesn't even fit in my station wagon)- and pointillism (aka- obsessive compulsive.) is a long and very tedious style of painting. Then you have to know it's probably worth that much by the way- She's not blinfolded. She's not going to jump. The painting is metaphorical. It was how " I " viewed " love " at the time I painted it. men and women met from opposite sides of a bridge- I was always optimistic and looking up but always left myself open and vulnerable for disaster- whilst my partner was always looking down and kept himself safe and closed with one hand on my heart- no intention of taking any risk emotionally. NOW- remember.... it's just a painting I did many years ago. so... that's that. smiling- alex > > > > > > > > > ----- Original Message ----- > > > > > > > > > From: alpha light > > > > > > > > > Sally > > > > > > > > > Sent: Monday, September 15, 2003 11:46 AM > > > > > > > > > Subject: Re: stiffness > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > Hi Sally- > > > > > > > > > et al- > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > I keep thinking... Guest guest
Well, out here in the west, a lot of paintings and other art work are marketed by placing them in restaurants, curio shops, etc. that cater to tourists. We see a lot of paintings hanging on tourism restaurants walls with a tag on them giving the painters name and price. I've actually seen some of them being taken down and purchased. Believe it or not!! Guest guest
Great ! Yes I am interested and repost the site of your paintings so we can see all again and tell you which we are interested in. I just recieved a canvas print from Christie Repassy (she does the Roses) It looks like a real painting. Have you thought of canvas? Can you sign the prints for me personally? Maybe you should design a Christmas card so we can order ? I am a frustrated artist, not very good, I seem to paint with quite well.Wish I had your gift! Guest guest
Eileen must have put her site back up, after taking it down earlier this year. Hurray! I'll add it back to the links section. She has so much info! Patty ----- Original Message ----- From: halvey70@... I would give anything to be your age again and have a choice knowing what I know now. I am not an expert by any means but based on all of my research and my experience here is my answers to your questions:Sterile saline packages are marked to be stored around 77 degrees and has a shelf life of 18-24 months. Would you want to drink a glass of water that had been in a 98-100 degree oven for 7-10 years? yuk - even if it was sterile I don't think it can stay that way forever. I think that some people have a reaction to the silicone shell just like the silicone leaking implants. The same side effects have been reported by women that I have met as those from the silicone problems back in the 80's. The other problem (which is what I believe was my issue) is that the implants can become contaminated upon insertion or leak and allow body fluids inside them and the organisms grow and reproduce then leak back out, etc. They found over 12 different "breeds" of junk in mine that could be identified. One that was removed had 30 cc's less fluid than was reported going into it and both had tissue and mold growth inside the implant and valve. They found staph, aspergillus, and other weird stuff in there that I believe has caused alot of my problems. you can go to "survivors of salines" website and www.explantation.com for more links with medical info from doctors and scientists and magazine articles, etc., - this is where I found most of the info that made me understand I needed them to be removed. survivors of salines has a TON of good links you may be interested in. hope this helps :)shari
