Subject: [ ] clinical trials

> My computer majorly crashed last Wednesday, so this is the first time that

I have been online since then. I mentioned clinical trials for the new RA

drug developed in Great Britain. I went to the Web Site for Mass General

Hospital and looked under Research, then Clinical Trial. It is not listed

but it may be too soon. I went and sent an email asking about it so maybe I

will hear back. I had my first Remicade infusion last Monday-no better, no

worse-still hoping!

Here is a clinical trial for anybody needing Knee Braces being conducted by

the Mayo Clinic and other participating sites. They are offering them free

of charge in exchange for monitoring them a couple times.

knee-ankle-foot

orthosis (KAFO) for a short period of time and then discard the brace. ...

Why couldn't we approach the company they might want to do their own research and then get it approved for MS from the FDA? Because it is not approved for MS use from the FDA it is not covered by Medicaid.

Yep, I get riled when I think how long it takes to get medicine to the consumers who need it and how the bottom line is always MONEY--not alleviating suffering or improving quality of life. Sally A.
