Guest guest
I am tempted to say that it is because the makers of crabs are making so much money that the doctors are afraid to cross them. But it is probably more like the fact that doctors are really concerned not to harm, and the medication is not approved by the usual government bodies, plus there are lawyers waiting to sue anybody I pay them to including doctors who are really doing good things. The fact that there is a paying customer who wants to sue is all that matters to them. Anyway, I was bored waiting for my appointment and wanted to do *something*. So I thunk back to Crain and Shen, and there just might be something I can do even if I don't get LDN right away... I'll let you know. I talked to somebody about placebo control and we agreed there must be something less voodoo to use. He said there is another method that might be better. Trend analysis takes a sick person, measures them for a while without changing any medication, and then decides what the trend is. Are they getting better, worse, how fast? What is the slope of the trend of the measurable, empirical symptom data? Now start the proposed treatment. See if the slope changes, and if there are any obvious discontinuities. If enough sick people are measured one can generalize about what the slope should be on average. If the trial data is significantly different from average, the treatment is doing something. Some people will say that the placebo effect could still explain the difference. To them I say, if the treatment really works over say 2 years, and you can fool people into doing the same thing by telepathy, GO AHEAD AND DO IT. You will be paid handsomely for your mind power cure. -Sullivan >From: Cabbie54@a... >Date: Sat Sep 20, 2003 5:27 am >Subject: Fwd: Thank you..........Cabbie >Hi All >I really understand the problem between Imuran, Rebif Vs.
