Hi Jeannine,

Just wanted to let you know that my daughter who is 15yrs old now

also has trichotillomania and is an aspie. She started pulling when

she was about 12-13. Hers is stressed induced, exams, anxiety etc.

Mostly her eyebrows and eyelashes, she stopped pulling her hair on

her head early. It is a problem she may have all her life. I hope

your daughters problem was truly medication related, but if it

continues, just remember, it could be worse...self mutilation,

cutting etc. We talk openly with our daughter about the pulling and

she really seems to understand why it happens and is more accepting

of the behaviour as are my husband and I.

Good luck,

.
