Guest guest
I am right now listening to an article on light and circadian rhythms on The Current on CBC. thecurrent@... They said that any amount of visible light disturbs the release of melatonin. They said that sick people are getting better by not turning any lights on at night. They said light pollution may be a major source of cancer (take a look at a cancer map and correlate it in your mind with what you have seen from a plane at night). They said street light should not be allowed in your house. They said that watching TV (computer) after dark, or opening the fridge, can disrupt your melatonin production. They said that use of red safe light bulbs can increse safety at night without stopping melatonin production. They said it is involved in breast cancer and estrogen receptors and hey isn't that an estrogen receptor that's implicated in twice as many women getting MS? Anybody who has MS has had eye problems, most likely. The optic nerve is very important and easily overstimulated. It is also big, as far as I know. Careful with those nerves!
