Guest guest
Kay K, It's so exciting that there's a local support meeting for you in Austin. Please give us a full report. I'm in the DFW area. The ALF has meetings in Plano, but I'm too lazy to drive the 100 mile roundtrip. I got the flu and pneumonia vaccinations last week. They hurt at the time, but my arm wasn't even sore afterwards. I've had no reactions since. I'm planning to get the HepA and HepB vaccinations as well. Do you get yours from your doctor? Did you have any reactions? It looks like the most convenient place to get mine would be from the Board of Health, just a few miles from my house. The AARDA wants us to contact our representatives to help push for legislation to fund and create an official study of autoimmune diseases. I wonder if it's the same bill Geri mentioned? See http://www.aarda.org/congress_connect.html I hope we'll see some results and get some answers. Did they discuss this at the meeting today? Guest guest
Kay, you have the morning hangover feeling also? I just asked my doc about it today and he said he never heard of it. Glad to hear I am not the only one that has this. Guest guest
Kay, Barbara, Everyone: This is what I found about proposed legislation regarding autoimmune diseases. This is just a starting point but it looks like it's not really off the ground yet. They could use some input. I'm sure it's the same bill that AARDA is looking into. Geri http://congress.nw.dc.us/cgi-bin/thomassearch.pl?dir=congressorg2 & term=autoi mmune 1. H.R.2573: A bill to amend the Public Health Service Act to establish an Office of Autoimmune Diseases at the National Institutes of Health, and for other purposes. Sponsor: Rep Waxman, Henry A. Guest guest
Ann - you are on your second day of restart and it sounds like you are off to a good start! Keep focused and it will come together! How did the WATP go? Which tape did you do? Hope DD let you get that exercise in without being too much of a bother. Take Care,

It was perfect because I wasn't highly motivated this morning but it was quick and relatively painless. It's great for days when it's hard to get moving. It's going to be my no excuses exercise. Looks like I'll be able to walk outside for the rest of the week though. > > Hope DD let you get that exercise in without being too much of a bother. Can you say *grumpy*! I don't know why she is having trouble sleeping at night. She gave up her naps to my great disappointment so she should be exhuasted at night. Dunno. This too shall pass. I need my sleep! I need to give her some sort of balls that she can use for her hand weights. I think she would have been happy if I had been willing to give mine up. Guest guest
I was all excited this morning....I was going to pick up my prescription for LDN!!! On Friday, my GP's office called and told me that they had my prescription written out. I couldn't make it there Fri and Mon was holiday, so, this morning I decided to call ahead and confirm it was indead ready. WRONG! It had been written but not signed!! They said call back at noon which I did and it was signed. I headed down to his office....my car broke down on way, luckily I have AAA and a cell phone, so waited for tow truck to take to garage. A friend, who is also a cab driver came and got me (in cab)and took me home. He has to pay my fare so I gave him $20.00 to take me home then pick up my script and bring it to me. I called Dr office and they said it was okay for him to pick it up. At 4PM I called Dr's office...this time told I need to give cab driver letter authorizing him to pick it up! I asked if I could fax it to them as I have a fax. They said yes and I faxed it to them twice. I called them after and said they did not receive a fax from me. We double checked fax number and it was correct. As we were talking, my friend walked in to pick it up and agreed to let him pick up. He didn't get off work till 8PM, then he brought it over. I was so excited to get it and know I would be calling Skip's Pharmacy in the morning....I set it aside. Then I picked it up and read it around 9PM. The med was written by someone in the office to be signed by Dr. He or somebody signed his name. The LDN is spelled Altrexone!!!!!!!!!!!! So, I have to go through it all again when I pick up my car At least the car wasn't a major problem....only $100! Thanks for letting me vent about the LDN. Guest guest
Well it finally happened. After taking VCO for 4 months and perceiving no change whatsoever, I thought yesterday morning - why bother taking it? No change in the excess weight I'm carrying around on my belly, no change in my low body temp. No change in how I feel - energy or wellness. I think I need a pep talk. Thanks, Laureen

Guest guest
Laureen I was taking coconut oil, but kept increasing my weight due to my food intake and my laziness. I took in plenty of rice and then just sat on my computer all day and sure enough my waist and belly grew. Now I am eliminating starch. I do take 3 tacos (which i think gives me a good balanced diet, please correct me if i am wrong in my thinking here) for lunch and dinner and I seem to have lost around 5 pounds in two weeks.
