Hello to everybody,

My son was diagnosed with AS and Tourettes this last summer, but I

always new something was different with my son (now 6.5years old).

I feel angry that know one ever caught it. We went to many doctors

and no one saw anything they all said he would outgrow whatever

symptoms I would share. Now our son knows what he has and it

explaines his behaviors. For us, we are exhausted with our son's

meltdowns. We have a routine for food, bedtime, bathtime, wake-up

and pictures everywhere so he understads what he needs to do

throughout the day, but they go out the window sometimes. We just

came back from spring break and it was a nightmare. We want to be

normal sometimes so we decided to venture and go to Las Vegas.

Well, you can imagine he was OK for a small part of the day, but

when he had enough he had enough and rage would take over. We came

back even more tired than when we left and we are still having to

walk on egg shells because he is over the top. I try to give my son

massages every night to relax him and when I am consistenet he is

calmer, but I have no energy and things start falling apart. I feel

as the mommy that it takes such a toll on me, because I try to be

sensitive all the time. I know I am rambling with so many topics,

but this is my first support of any kind. I want to know if anyone

has great ideas for helping my son out with rages. He is not on

medication I am very afraid of using drugs, but he is getting bigger

and he is hitting, kicking, socking us when he meltsdown. I am also

looking for natural forms of vitamins to help him any ideas?

Thanks for listening.
